The USA women’s basketball team continues pool play against the host nation Japan as the Americans hope to capture a seventh straight gold medal at the Tokyo Summer Games. The last time USA didn’t win gold was the 1992 Games. You can catch the game at 12:40 a.m. ET on USA.

If you are not in front of a television, NBCOlympics.com will live stream the match. You’ll need a cable subscription for access. If you don’t have one, you can get a free trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the match. You can also watch on the NBC Sports mobile app.

Team USA had a slight scare against Nigeria, but ultimately bested the underdogs 81-72 behind A’ja Wilson’s 19 points and 13 rebounds. Sue Bird continues to be the ageless star for the Americans with her assists, but failed to register a point in the opener. USA will hope she can get going shooting the ball. USA will hope to improve its three-point shooting in this match after going 5-20 in the opener.

Japan sprung an upset in the first match against France and will look to keep the trend going here against USA. The host nation has picked up some big medals in recent days and the women’s basketball team should feed off that energy.
