Olympic medal events to watch on Saturday

We take a look at the medal events on the schedule for Saturday in the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics.

The United States has been very Lubbock, Texas so far at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, as “guns up” has been a mantra in the medal count. Team USA has three golds and two silvers so far burnished by bullets, and will have a great chance for another in the Mixed Team Trap Event on Saturday at the Asaka Shooting Range.

Also the USA is a massive favorite in the 4x400 Mixed Team Event in track and field, which will be the first medal ever awarded to both genders in athletics. While they were almost the victim of some awful officiating in the preliminaries, justice was done and they should be in great shape for the Final.

In the pool, there will be four events for medals; the Men’s 100m Butterfly, the Women’s 200m Backstroke, the Women’s 800 Freestyle, and the Mixed 4 x 100m Medley Relay.

Gold medals will also be awarded in both men’s and women’s windsurfing, the women’s sabre team event in fencing, and we’ll have the gold medal match in women’s tennis between Belinda Bencic and Marketa Vondrousova. Vondrousova is the -140 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook.
