The men’s basketball tournament at the Tokyo Summer Olympics continues over the weekend with Team USA playing its final pool match hoping to enter the knockout stage. Luka Doncic leads Slovenia in a big matchup with Spain and the host nation Japan faces Argentina as part of a loaded slate.

Men’s basketball Olympics Saturday, July 31

Nigeria vs. Italy

Time: 12:40 a.m. ET

Italy has been impressive thus far, losing a close match to Australia after convincingly taking down Germany in the opener. Simone Fontecchio has been a star for the Italians and should have another big game here. Nigeria had a big victory in exhibition play against the United States, but has not found a win at the Tokyo Summer Games yet.

Germany vs. Australia

Australia has been dominant in Group B and will look to complete the sweep against a solid German unit. Patty Mills and Joe Ingles headline a good Australia team capable of contending for the gold medal.

The Americans recovered from a tough loss to France in the opener with a big victory over Iran. A win over Czech Republic would be enough to secure qualification to the knockout round and USA is a heavy favorite. Czech Republic had some trouble with Iran and should not be a problem for Team USA.

Japan vs. Argentina

This is a massive game for both teams, who are looking for a victory to keep knockout round qualification hopes alive. The host nation is led by Rui Hachimura, while Argentina’s veteran core hopes to keep the country’s knockout round presence going with a fifth straight appearance.

Slovenia vs. Spain
