Full volleyball schedule for Tuesday, August 3rd in the Tokyo 2021 Summer Olympics

We take a look at the full volleyball schedule on the slate for Tuesday, August 3rd at the 2021 Tokyo Summer Olympics.

The United States came to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with six teams (two beach men’s, two beach women’s, indoor men’s, indoor women’s) that all had a legitimate chance to earn a medal.

It’s down to the indoor ladies who are fighting through a huge rash of injuries, and the A-Team of April Ross and Alix Klineman on the beach.

The A’s are back on the sand at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, which is 8:00 p.m. ET on Monday night in the United States. They’ll be up against the German team of Laura Ludwig and Margareta Kozuch, with the winner advancing to the semifinals.

Ludwig is the gold medalist in Rio with her old partner Kira Walkenhorst, and they were the team that knocked out Ross and her old partner Kerri Walsh-Jennings in the semifinals in Rio in 2016. You might not see a more pressure-packed match in the Games than this one.

On the men’s side, the indoor quarterfinals take place, with Poland entering the last eight as the favorite for gold at +225 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The ROC team at +320 and Brazil at +330 makes this one of the most competitive team tournaments at the games.
