Jessica Springsteen, the daughter of Bruce Springsteen, will be amongst the 73 competitors looking for a place in the individual jumping final in equestrian at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 30 of those 73 will advance to the final on Wednesday, August 4th.
If you’re not familiar with the jumping part of equestrian, it’s horses and riders going over fences and other obstacles in a show ring while being timed, and having time added for “faults” such as knocking over a fence post or failing to clear a jump. It takes perfect synchronicity between rider and horse, as well as some fearlessness and trust in each other as well.
You can watch Jessica Springsteen, the rest of Team USA, and all the competitors in the individual jumping qualifiers at 6:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, August 3rd on NBCOlympics.com or through the NBC Sports app. If you don’t have a cable log-in for that, you can get a trial through YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the event.
