Who is playing in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics women’s basketball bronze medal game

Here are the two teams competing for the bronze medal in women’s basketball at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics conclude this weekend and medals will be handed out for women’s basketball on Saturday. Team USA will face Japan in the gold medal game at 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 7th and Serbia will face France in the bronze medal game at 3:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, August 7th.

The bronze medal game will air via live stream at NBCOlympics.com and through the NBC Sports app. You’ll need a cable subscription for access, so if you don’t have one, you can get a trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the game.

Serbia vs. France, Bronze Medal Game, August 7

How Serbia got here: Serbia will enter the bronze medal game with a 3-2 record to get here and is coming off a loss to Team USA by a score of 79-59 in the semifinal game. Serbia defeated Canada, South Korea and China with losses to the Americans and Spain. Yvonne Anderson led the team in scoring with 15 points in the previous game.

How France got here: France will go for the bronze medal with a 2-3 record, and the team lost to Japan for the second time 87-71 in the semifinal round game. France has victories over Nigeria and Spain with losses to Japan twice and Team USA. In the previous game, Sandrine Gruda scored a game-high 18 points in the loss.
