We welcome the WTA Tour back into tennis DFS with the Ostrava Open. Some of the men head to Antwerp, while others will remain in Cologne to play yet another tournament, this time an ATP 250. We’ve got some new names priced atop the slate, and some great values to be found because of it. Without further ado, let’s take a look at options to consider for your fantasy tennis rosters on DraftKings.

High-priced Options

Miomir Kecmanovic ($10,900)

It might not help you the most with lineup construction, but Kecmanovic has done enough to convince me he’s in form and worth paying for on Monday. The promising ‘NextGen’ star recently captured his first tour title on the clay in Kitzbuhel before beating a very skilled indoors player in Mikhail Kukushkin in Saint Petersburg last week. He’s not exactly scorching hot, but he’s facing a player in Sumit Nagal ($4,400) who mainly competes in clay court Challenger events and has only played six times on indoor hardcourts. Kecmanovic has the clear advantage in every category and should win in straight sets.

Marin Cilic ($9,400)

I’m admittedly not Cilic’s biggest fan, but on indoor hardcourts, where his huge serve plays up the most, it takes something decently special to take him down. Steve Johnson ($5,700) and his slice backhand are the definition of nothing special. I’m not a big fan of paying up for anyone else in this range except for Kecmanovic, but if you have extra money while constructing your lineup, I’d recommend Cilic over the other options here. You’re also going to get a hefty amount of aces, which is always nice.

Value FLEX Options

Tommy Paul ($8,500)

Although he’s coming off of a long clay court run, Paul’s game is beginning to round into the form we’ve become accustomed to seeing over the past year. He’s hitting his groundstrokes with much more consistency, and he has always been a great all-surfaces player, anyway. He matches up well against Feliciano Lopez ($6,800), who won’t have the rally tolerance to hang with Paul, and could just be here to pick up a check at 36-years-old. Paul always comes out motivated in these 250s, considering they are much more winnable tournaments for him than the larger-scale ones which feature better players. This has the makings of a semifinal run for the American.

Daniel Altmaier ($5,600)

If you’re looking in the bargain bin, I think Altmaier is your guy. He was one of the stories of the French Open, using his huge groundstroke game to get to the round of 16. He is playing in home country of Germany, and lost a narrow encounter last week against Henri Laaksonen. I think this is a better matchup, with a player in Gerasmiov ($9,500) who he can put away with his quick aggression in rallies. The Belarusian is in pretty bad form at the moment, losing three main-draw matches before unconvincingly coming through qualifying here in Cologne with two-straight three-set matches. Altmaier is due for a win on the indoor hardcourts and it may very well come on Monday.

Others to consider: Frances Tiafoe ($9,000)
