Captain
Harry Kane ($18,900)
Kane’s role might be changing just a bit in this new set-up for Tottenham. That is not impacting his shooting efficiency in any way, though. He has made a typically sprightly start to this season with five goals. Impressively, he has set up seven goals as well, which is indicative of his evolving role for Tottenham. He likes unleashing shots from outside the box and that’s how he has racked up 25 shots already this season.
Others to consider: Son Heung-Min ($17,100)
High-priced flex options
Son Heung-Min ($11,400)
Son has been in sensational goal-scoring form this season. He is one of the beneficiaries of manager Jose Mourinho’s style of management. He is leading the Premier League with seven goals and has also chipped in two assists. Tottenham has scored a lot of goals this season and that preferred modus operandi won’t change, which should give Son an opportunity to increase his fantasy value.
Dwight McNeil ($9,400)
Burnley has just one assisted goal this season and McNeil provided that assist. As that tally increases as this season progresses, McNeil’s assists will also increase. He is the playmaker for Burnley, tasked with drifting deliveries into Burney’s tall center-backs or forwards. Despite a struggle at the start of the season, McNeil has still managed 12.8 DKFP per game.
Chris Wood ($7,600)
Burnley’s setpieces are key because the playmakers have an easy target in the box with Wood’s height. Wood has scored just one goal, but he has won 21 aerial battles, comfortably the highest for Burnley. When he gets his head on the ball first, he has a chance to influence a play, either by setting up a colleague or by getting a shot on target (he has taken nine shots so far). That is where his fantasy value will lie in this game. Wood also scored in the previous game between these two teams.
Others to consider: Ashley Westwood ($7,800)
Value flex options
Serge Aurier ($6,800)
It might not seem like Aurier is a key offensive player for Tottenham but he has already contributed immensely. He has an advanced role as a defender, moving forward down the right wing to whip deliveries into the box. He has scored one goal and assisted another already. Defensively, he is rather solid as well. He is leading Tottenham in interceptions with four and he is currently averaging a stunning 18.2 DKFP per game.
Sergio Reguilón ($7,000)
Burnley’s pace of play can often be much slower than other teams in the EPL because there is a preference for establishing solidity at the back and building from there. That also leads to a lack of goals often. In a high-scoring league, Burnley has scored just three goals so far. That, in turn, increases the probability of a clean sheet for Tottenham’s defenders, including Reguilon. Offensively, Reguilon does move forward on the left flank, looking to capitalize on his speed and opposing fatigue.
Others to consider: Hugo Lloris ($6,600)
