The Bears and Rams have clashed each of the past two seasons, with defensive battles each time. The Bears are six-point dogs in this one, with a low total of just 44.5. While we might not see the same fireworks we got during Seahawks and Cardinals, there are still betting angles to analyze in this game. Here’s what jumps out on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams
UNDER 44.5 (-110)
Both of these teams are 4-2 to the under this season and have combined to give us some real grinders in recent seasons. Rams games have been right on this number, averaging 44.3 points, but a 35-32 loss to the Bills really skews things. Outside of that game, Los Angeles has held its other five opponents to an average of 15.8 points per game. The Bears’ two overs have been a fluky three-touchdown fourth quarter by Mitch Trubisky back in Week 1 and, of course, the meltdown by the Falcons, where Nick Foles took over the QB job mid-game. Set those two games aside, and Chicago totals are averaging 34.5 points, with no total higher than 39 since Foles took over as the starter. Last year the Rams won this matchup, 17-7 (24 total), and the previous year, the Bears pulled off the 15-6 (21 total) upset. Seeing this should be a low scoring, close game, I think teasing CHI +12/U50.5 is a nice play as well, but if you want one thing to bet straight up, I think this one stays under.

Nick Foles OVER 0.5 Interceptions (-152)
Jared Goff OVER 0.5 Interceptions (-134)
Obviously, we’ve already laid the groundwork for a defensive game in this one, but I think both QBs are priced way too cheap to throw an interception. These guys have been pretty mistake-prone throughout their careers, and each has a difficult matchup. Foles has been picked off in all four games he’s played this season, while Goff’s been intercepted in four of six, hence the cheaper price. I would like it more if the defenses had been a little better picking off opposing QBs in the early going this season, but the Bears have five picks and the Rams four. This is more about really strong defenses facing shaky decision-makers. I’d be surprised if neither made a costly turnover on a throw.
