Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for October 27

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Tuesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

On Tuesday, the DraftKings Dream Stream is ready for a full slate of six sims kicking off at 12:00 p.m. ET and continuing throughout the afternoon and evening. The featured slate is the classic contest that includes the final three games of the day, beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET when the Atlanta Falcons welcome in the Miami Dolphins. At 8:00 p.m. ET, there is a primetime rematch of one of the better real-world games of Week 7 when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Tennessee Titans. The final contest of the day also has some nice fantasy options from Madden After Dark, featuring the Minnesota Vikings visiting the New England Patriots.

The roster for each team includes all player movement that occurred prior to Week 1 of this season and you can find the depth charts, abilities and X-factors for Madden 21 along with the upcoming schedule on the Madden Stream info page. The rosters have also been adjusted to get the best players on the field and will not be impacted by any COVID-19 opt-outs or injuries.

Check out the daily DraftKings Madden Stream contests lobby with paid contests for real cash prizes now available alongside free contests. Each simulation will be played out computer vs. computer via an online Madden Stream using Madden 21. In this format, you can enjoy watching the game stream on the DraftKings YouTube channel, the DK Live app (download here) or right here in this post.

Quarterback

Stud

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons vs. Miami Dolphins, $6,700 — The Falcons’ offense has been one of the best in Madden 21, and Ryan has been very productive in most matchups. He has piled up 39 touchdown passes in his 19 contests and has multiple touchdown passes in eight of his 10 most recent sims and has finished with over 18 DKFP in each of those eight games. He is a one-dimensional option since he has yet to take off and run in any of his 19 contests, but he has made up for that by averaging over 270 passing yards per game and showcasing a strong connection with playmakers Julio Jones ($7,200) and Calvin Ridley ($5,500). Ryan should be ready to air it out against the Dolphins in the first sim on this slate, and I think both defenses will struggle in this matchup, leading to a high-scoring, back-and-forth contest.

Other Option — Tua Tagovailoa ($6,300)

Value

Cam Newton, New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings, $6,000 — Newton has had more success in simland than in real life lately and remains much more of a dual-threat than Ryan. In his 11 home games, Newton is averaging 18.0 DKFP and has thrown for a total of 23 touchdowns in his 18 contests in addition to running for six scores. He is coming off of two mediocre games against the Titans and Colts but will look to bounce back with a big game against Minnesota. Cam has been much less consistent than Matty Ice but still comes with a high ceiling, which he has shown by posting over 20 DKFP in eight of his 18 sims in Madden 21. His volatility makes him higher risk than Ryan, but he still has the most upside of any affordable QB.

Other Option — Ryan Tannehill ($5,600)

Running Back

Stud

Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings at New England Patriots, $8,200 — There are two elite, high-priced RBs to consider on this slate in Cook and Derrick Henry ($7,700). Since the Steelers have been stout against the run, I think Cook is in a better spot if you can afford to pay up for his salary at over $8K. He has been a touchdown machine with 15 scores in 15 sims and has averaged 94.7 rushing yards and 30.5 receiving yards on 3.7 catches per contest. His has hit the bonus for 100 rushing yards in four straight sims and five of his past six with at least a touchdown and 27 DKFP in each of those five contests. His ceiling is extremely high, and he should remain the focus of the Minnesota offense in this game against the Patriots.

Other Option — Derrick Henry ($7,700), Todd Gurley II ($6,800)

Value

Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans, $4,800 — Samuels has been very busy as Pittsburgh’s third-down back in Madden 21 and is coming off a nine-catch performance against the Chiefs that resulted in his second touchdown in Madden 21 and 21.6 DKFP. He has at least four catches in four straight contests and is averaging 3.9 receptions per game over his 16 sims in Madden 21. He had been a very steady producer and brings stability along with that high ceiling. He does share work with RB1 James Conner ($4,000), but Samuels is in the more reliable fantasy spot since he piles up so many PPR points.

Other Option — Matt Breida ($6,000), James White ($5,100)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons vs. Miami Dolphins, $7,200 — Jones has been outstanding for the Falcons and is averaging 21.7 DKFP per sim, while only one other WR on this slate is averaging more than 14 DKFP. Jones has scored 14 touchdowns in 18 sims with an average of 5.7 catches for 96.9 yards per game. He has over 19 DKFP in seven of his past nine games and has only been held to single-digit DKFP three times in 18 Madden 21 sims. Jones offers both a high ceiling and a high floor, and I think he’ll bounce back with a monster game after a mostly quiet performance in his most recent sim against the Browns.

Other Option — JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,900)

Value

Corey Davis, Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers, $5,000 — Davis has been the Titans’ best pass-catcher in Madden 21, averaging 11.4 DKFP per contest. He has at least 70 yards in three straight sims and four of his past five with over 13 DKFP in each of those performances. Davis has found the end zone five times in 14 sims while averaging 3.5 catches for 52.8 yards per sim. Despite his role as the WR2 for Tennessee, he has been their best fantasy option aside from Henry in Madden 21.

Damiere Byrd, New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings, $4,100 — Byrd is the Patriots’ WR3 and a nice speed option for Cam on the outside. He has had five catches in each of his past two sims and has scored two touchdowns over his past four games. He has multiple catches in nine straight sims and has posted double-digit DKFP in six of his past eight. If he hits for over 10 DKFP again in this matchup, he’ll be a great way to only spend just a little over $4K and get a solid return, while keeping salary flexibility to pay up in other spots.

Other Options — Adam Thielen ($5,700), N’Keal Harry ($4,500), Jakeem Grant ($3,900)

Tight End

Stud

Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans, $5,300 — The Titans have a solid defense overall, but they have had some issues against TEs, which opens a nice window for Ebron to have a big game. He has been rolling lately with double-digit DKFP in six of his past seven sims dating back to a monster 12-catch, 33.9-DKFP performance against the Chiefs. He has had at least four catches in each of those six games and is now averaging 47.1 receiving yards on 4.6 catches per sim. The volume and matchup give Ebron plenty of upside against Tennessee.

Other Options — Mike Gesicki ($5,000), Hayden Hurst ($4,600)

Value

Devin Asiasi, New England Patriots vs. Minnesota Vikings, $3,500 — His last few sims have been duds, but Asiasi is still an option worth considering since he is the top TE in New England and was a regular contributor before his current dry spell. Asiasi had a run of eight straight games with three catches or more before his two most recent contests and is still averaging 3.9 catches per contest. He has a great route tree in the Patriots’ playbook and should be set up for a bounce-back performance against the Vikings, who have struggled against TE in Madden and in real life this season.

Other Options — Jonnu Smith ($4,200)

DST

Stud

Patriots DST vs. Minnesota Vikings, $3,100 — The Patriots will have the difficult task of containing Cook, but they will still have plenty of opportunities to make big plays and be a productive fantasy option. In their 18 sims in Madden 21, they have forced 22 turnovers and scored four defensive touchdowns while also producing 29 sacks. In their most recent sim, they had six sacks, a safety, two picks and a defensive touchdown for a massive 20 DKFP against the Colts. Like this game, that contest was a home game for New England, and the defense is producing 7.1 DKFP per contest when playing in virtual Foxboro.

Other Option — Vikings ($3,000)

Value

Falcons DST vs. Miami Dolphins, $2,800 — The Falcons have struggled defensively in real life but have been pretty decent in Madden 21. They have 48 sacks in their 19 sims to go with 13 takeaways and a pair of defensive touchdowns. While I do think they’ll give up points to Tua and the Dolphins in this matchup, I also think they can force the rookie into bad decisions and potential turnovers. Tua has a tendency to run around which could lead to fumbles if the Falcons’ big-hitters can get to him.
