Studs
Cristiano Ronaldo ($10,500)
Ronaldo has slowly returned to full fitness after a temporary hiatus. He played 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to France in the Nations League. He scored a goal apiece in the two games preceding that, in a 7-0 win against Andorra and a 1-1 draw to Lazio in the Serie A. Even priced as high as $10,500, he should still add plenty of value to your roster, especially considering he has averaged 25.1 DKFP per game.
Values
Timo Werner ($9,100)
Werner has been in fantastic goal-scoring form in 2020. He took some time to get attuned to the pace of English soccer after his move from RB Leipzig after a sensational 2019-20 campaign in the Bundesliga in which he finished as the second-highest goal-scorer behind Robert Lewandowski. He scored a brace in a 3-1 win against Ukraine in the previous game, playing as the only forward for Germany.
Others to consider: Antoine Griezmann ($8,900)
Midfielders
Studs
Serge Gnabry ($8,500)
It remains to be seen how much time Gnabry will be given in this game. He played the entire 90 minutes against Ukraine in the previous game. He has had a busy time for Bayern Munich as well after soccer returned. If he gets the start though, he will be a key addition to your DraftKings roster. He has been averaging 11 DKFP per game, primarily behind some stellar offensive performances on a consistent basis.
Values
Mikel Oyarzabal ($7,900)
While Oyarzabal hasn’t played much, it’s important to note he started the previous game against Switzerland as the solitary striker for Spain. He has scored at least one goal in each of his previous four appearances in the La Liga (five goals in four club games for Real Sociedad). He even scored in Spain’s previous home game in the Nations League. In terms of goal-scoring form, Oyarzabal has no problem.
Others to consider: Bruno Fernandes ($8,200)
Defenders
Studs
Joao Cancelo ($5,600)
Portugal has been a defensive powerhouse in international soccer in the past few months. In fact, the team has kept four clean sheets in five games. In those five games, Portugal has conceded just one goal. That methodical pace of play could catch Croatia off guard. While Cancelo is unlikely to provide an assist or a goal, he is almost certain to be difficult to beat at the back. He has averaged 6.9 DKFP per game.
Values
Benjamin Pavard ($4,400)
Pavard has been a busy player this year. He has returned from injury and slotted right back into Bayern Munich’s starting lineup. He is crucial because of his offensive runs down the right flank. He kept a quality clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Portugal in the previous game. There is enough evidence to suggest France won’t concede easily here as well, against Sweden.
Goalkeepers
Hugo Lloris ($5,700)
Matchups are an influential factor in fantasy roster construction. Lloris and France will face a Sweden team that hasn’t scored too many goals (just three in four games). France possesses one of the best defensive lineups in world soccer. Lloris is the most expensive keeper on this slate, partly because of that matchup advantage. He has also provided significant fantasy output (11.3 DKFP per game).
Others to consider: Manuel Neuer ($4,800)
