Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for November 18

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Wednesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Wednesday brings more wild weather to the six Madden sims scheduled on the DraftKings Dream Stream. The featured slate highlighted in this post is the three-game classic contest that starts at 6:00 p.m. ET. The action in those contests start when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the rain. At 8:00 p.m. ET in primetime, the Miami Dolphins will visit virtual Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in the snow, and the final game of the slate kicks off at 10:00 p.m. ET, featuring the Denver Broncos visiting the Chicago Bears for another snow game in their Madden After Dark showdown.

An important note to remember is that each roster is not impacted by COVID-19 opt-outs or injuries, and the highest-rated options are at the top of the depth charts. The roster for each team includes all player movement that occurred prior to Week 1 of this season, and you can find the game settings, depth charts, abilities and X-factors for each team in Madden 21 along with the upcoming schedule on the Madden Stream info page.

Check out the daily DraftKings Madden Stream contests lobby with paid contests for real cash prizes now available alongside free contests. Each simulation will be played out computer vs. computer via an online Madden Stream using Madden 21. In this format, you can enjoy watching the game stream on the DraftKings YouTube channel, the DK Live app (download here) or right here in this post.

Mitchell Trubisky, Chicago Bears vs. Denver Broncos, $7,100 — Trubisky lost his job in real life, but he has remained the starter for the Bears in Madden 21 and has actually been doing a pretty solid job as a dual-threat QB. He hasn’t been as good as he was in Madden 2020 when he was one of the best options on any slate, but he has been good enough to deserve a look in the snow against the Broncos, who don’t have much depth in their secondary. Trubisky led the Bears to a 17-14 win in Denver earlier in the Madden 21 sims and finished with 19.64 DKFP in that game. Recently, Trubisky has run for at least 45 yards in nine straight sims and has thrown for 10 touchdowns and run for four more over that stretch. That production has resulted in an average of 20.5 DKFP over that stretch, highlighted by a 36.06-DKFP performance against the Eagles. Trubisky has a very high ceiling and should be able to find a way to put up numbers since he can rely on his running production if the snow is eliminating the passing game.

Other Option — Aaron Rodgers ($6,900), Joe Burrow ($6,700)

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers, $6,200 — It has been Tua time in these Madden sims for 17 games now, and the rookie has looked good overall, averaging 18.6 DKFP on 227.2 passing yards and 19.1 rushing yards per sim along with 32 total touchdowns. Tua has over 23 DKFP in three of his past four games and lit up the Packers for 317 yards, three touchdowns and 29.88 DKFP when he visited Lambeau Field earlier in these sims. Tua doesn’t typically run quite as much as Trubisky, but he definitely can if the situation calls for it. While the Hawaii native playing in the snow is definitely a wild card, I love his upside and his salary in this matchup. He’s always a boom-or-bust play, but he has been delivering good numbers more often than not lately.

Other Option — Tom Brady ($6,000)

Running Back

Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers vs. Miami Dolphins, $7,000 — Jones comes into this favorable matchup with Miami off of two monster games with over 30 DKFP. He had 119 rushing yards and two touchdowns for 37.0 DKFP against the Jaguars in his most recent sim after scoring three touchdowns on his way to 31.8 DKFP in the Packers’ upset win over the Chiefs. Jones has averaged 19.1 DKFP over his 23 sims in Madden 21 and has taken over third-down and power back responsibilities, meaning he hardly ever leaves the field. He has 24 touchdowns in those 23 sims and is the only truly elite option in play on this slate at RB.

Other Option — Matt Breida ($6,400)

Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $5,100 — Bernard is the Bengals’ third-down back while Joe Mixon ($5,700) handles the early down work as the team’s RB1. Even though he doesn’t get the majority of the snaps, Gio has been excellent as a receiving threat which is why he can be an option even though his salary is over $5K. He wasn’t very involved in the Bengals’ most recent game as they played from ahead, but he had posted three straight double-digit DKFP performances prior to that including a pair of games with seven catches out of the backfield. The rain in Cincinnati may force QB Joe Burrow to check down more often, which would likely lead to more volume for Gio, making him worth a look at this price point.

Other Options — Leonard Fournette ($4,600), LeSean McCoy ($4,300)

Wide Receiver

DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers, $7,100 — The success of Tua in simland has been directly tied to his great connection with Parker, who has been red-hot lately with over 15 DKFP in five straight games and 38.1 DKFP in his most recent sim, which was against the Bears. In that game, he hauled in 10 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He put up 159 yards and a touchdown in his first game against the Packers for 30.9 DKFP and has been thriving as the WR1 and clear top option for Tua in the Dolphins’ passing game.

Other Options — Courtland Sutton ($7,400), Mike Evans ($6,000)

John Ross III, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $5,600 — While he is no longer a part of the Bengals’ WR rotation in real life, Ross continues to be the WR3 in these Madden sims and comes with lots of upside due to his 96 speed rating. Ross is a boom-or-bust play, but he has an extremely high ceiling, which he showed with 143 yards and 29.3 DKFP against the Lions in his most recent sim. He has over 15 DKFP in three of his past five and five of his past eight contests, and he could get loose for a big play or two against the Bucs’ secondary, which has been prone to giving up big plays over the top in these Madden sims.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Green Bay Packers vs. Miami Dolphins, $4,100 — MVS has been the Packers’ WR3 since the latest roster reshuffle and has multiple receptions in eight straight sims after hauling in nine catches for 91 yards against the Jaguars in his most recent sim. He has found the end zone twice in his past four games, producing 18.4 DKFP against the Giants and 19.2 DKFP against the Rams. After those two big games, he came back to earth with just 3.2 DKFP against the Chiefs, but then posted 18.1 DKFP against the Jags. He should be in a good spot against the Dolphins to continue his success and provide good salary for other spots with his price just over $4K.

Other Options — Devin Funchess ($5,800), Jakeem Grant ($4,300), Scotty Miller ($3,200)

Tight End

Jimmy Graham, Chicago Bears vs. Denver Broncos, $4,400 — With the snow, the Bears may rely more on shorter passes over the middle, which sets up Graham for good volume against the Broncos. He has over 15 DKFP in three of his past five games and has at least 7.0 DKFP in 11 of his past 15 games dating back to his first meeting with the Broncos. He definitely has the potential to hit for a high number if he gets volume, but even if he doesn’t he should be a solid investment at under $5K.

Other Options — C.J. Uzomah ($4,700), Mike Gesicki ($4,100)

Noah Fant, Denver Broncos at Chicago Bears, $3,800 — On the other side of that matchup, Fant had a touchdown and 15.2 DKFP against the Bears in that earlier matchup. He has produced over 9.0 DKFP in three straight before a down game with just 5.2 DKFP against Washington in his most recent sim. He should be able to bounce back in the snow, though, and has at least three catches in six of his past seven games. The consistent volume makes him a solid sub-$4K play if you decide to go cheap at TE.

Broncos DST at Chicago Bears, $3,100 — Even though Trubisky has been productive, he is sometimes turnover prone since he runs so much and doesn’t have a great carry rating. He has lost 14 fumbles in his 20 sims, so the Broncos could be in a place to capitalize on those turnovers. In their 21 sims so far, the Broncos’ defense has forced 13 turnovers to go with 36 sacks and a pair of defensive touchdowns. They have at least 4.0 DKFP in six of their past seven sims and put up 5.0 DKFP in their loss to the Bears earlier in these sims.

Other Options — Bears ($2,900)

Buccaneers DST at Cincinnati Bengals, $2,700 — The Bucs’ defense has given up big plays and hasn’t been nearly as good in these sims as they have been in real life. However, they have been excellent at one thing—rushing the passer. In their 21 sims they have piled up 52 sacks. They also have the only rain game on the slate, which seems to impact fumbling a little more than playing in the snow. The Bucs are averaging 3.6 DKFP per sim, largely because they only have four takeaways and no defensive touchdowns yet, but they have been able to get enough sacks to still be the best value option to consider against rookie QB Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
