The tennis season continues to wind to a close with the men back in action in Sofia, Bulgaria and the women in Linz, Austria. Plenty of familiar faces are on the slate, and there should be some considerable value down the player pool. Without further ado, let’s look at who you should consider for your fantasy tennis rosters on DraftKings.

High-priced Options
Aryna Sabalenka ($10,700)
Yesterday’s slate scared all of us straight off the high-priced options, but if you’re ready to get hurt again, Sabalenka is a deserving top-option on the slate. The 22-year-old has long had her sights set on becoming the No. 1 player in the world, and her tremendous game and superior power has lifted her to 24 wins this season in 34 tries. Her record indoors is an impressive 35-19 over her young career and her recent form has been impeccable, capturing her eighth title in four years weeks ago in Ostrava. The Italian Paolini ($4,300) will be out of her element playing away from red clay. This should be one-way traffic.
Richard Gasquet ($10,000)
The grizzled Frenchman is one of the least exciting options on the slate, but he’s in my favorite spot. Not only did he stay fresh during lockdown playing in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, and has looked great since the restart, he’s playing Roberto Carballes Baena ($4,700). The Spaniard has only had 16 indoor matches over his 12 years an active player, winning seven of them, and holds a poor 32-33 record on outdoor hardcourts. Gasquet is one of the more underrated servers on tour, and RCB will have a whale of a time in is return games. Combine that with a weak serve and you’ve got a recipe for many games won by Gasquet. Look past his recent record and look into the players he’s lost to, and the margins of defeat, before deciding to pass. I suspect the recent 1-6 slide will have his ownership in a tasty spot.
Value FLEX Options
Camila Giorgi ($7,100)
I sound like a broken record talking about surface-based performances, but it’s important to call out when someone is simply a clay specialist, like Sara Sorribes Tormo ($7,600). Giorgi is one of the more deceptively powerful players on tour, packing a real punch on her serve and forehand, and her game is built for hardcourts. She’s one of the more talented players around, but she’s also one of the most volatile. That makes her a GPP play here, as you never know when you’re going to catch her on one of her deep tournament runs. I’m willing to bet she can at least gain some momentum on Tuesday against Sorribes Tormo, and she will be the fresher of the two.
Radu Albot ($4,800)
Another day, another dart throw under $6K. This is equal parts a fade on Denis Shapovalov ($9,800) and a buy-low on the Maldovan. Shapovalov has looked all out of sorts lately, losing three straight matches and double-faulting into the double digits in a bad, bad loss to Jurij Rodinov last week. Albot is one of the stronger returners on tour, and will surely ask many questions of Shapovalov. The Canadian’s head has long been his biggest enemy, touting such a big game that relies on a heavy dose of confidence. When he’s down in the dumps like this, bad losses can ensue. At the very least, Albot, a hard-worker from the baseline, should be able to muster a set here. He’s looking like the player who shot up the rankings to a career high of 39 last spring.
Others to consider: Vasek Pospisil ($6,800)
