Forwards
Studs
Marcus Rashford ($8,200)
Rashford hasn’t quite set the stage alight, but he has still contributed heavily to Manchester United’s offense this season. He has scored three goals, tied for second on the club. He has chipped in with four assists, tied for Manchester United’s highest total this season. He has even taken 25 shots, second-highest for the club. These are all influential numbers for a player that can easily get himself on the scoresheet.
Values
Dwight McNeil ($6,900)
McNeil has had a quiet start to this season. He has played every minute of every match but only has one assist to show for that effort. Still, he could be a valuable hedge play from Burnley considering the unpredictability of bottom-half soccer in the Premier League. He is averaging 10 DKFP per game, and could move close to that average even with a par game.
Others to consider: Ollie Watkins ($8,600).
Midfielders
Studs
Bruno Fernandes ($10,600)
Fernandes is an easy choice for midfielder on this slate. He is leading Manchester United in almost all key offensive metrics this season, including but not limited to goals scored (7), assists (4) and shots taken (34). He has even completed 633 passes, third-highest for Manchester United this season, and made 21 successful tackles. He is averaging 23.1 DKFP per game, highest on this slate.
Values
Jack Grealish ($10,000)
At a price of $10,000, Grealish isn’t exactly a value choice. However, from an investment and return viewpoint, he could easily be a valuable pick. He has been so good over the course of the last few seasons that Aston Villa will find it increasingly hard to keep him around. He is currently leading the club in assists (5) and shots taken (30). He has even scored five goals, second-most for the club.
Others to consider: John McGinn ($6,100)
Defenders
Studs
Matt Targett ($5,600)
Burnley has scored just six goals this season, second fewest in the EPL. Aston Villa is on a high after winning defeating Wolves over the weekend. Opposition form and team confidence are two influential reasons to pick a player in your roster. Targett checks both boxes. He has racked up 396 passes and 14 interceptions. At home, it wouldn’t be farfetched to suggest another clean sheet is on.
Values
Harry Maguire ($3,900)
Maguire has been such a key defensive player for Manchester United this season that his price of $3,900 is quite startling. He is leading his club in passes (721), aerial battles won (47), clearances (42) and interceptions (24). He is also up against a Sheffield United team that has scored just six goals, fewest in the EPL this season. A clean sheet is in the offing.
Goalkeepers
Emiliano Martinez ($5,500)
Martinez has kept five clean sheets this season, joint highest in the Premier League. He was excellent against Wolves as well, moving well horizontally to prevent a loss. He is also averaging 9.6 DKFP per game, highest among all goalkeepers on this slate.
Others to consider: David de Gea ($5,800)
