It’s a wonderful Wednesday, the NBA is back in full swing! We have a loaded 13-game slate to watch, and plenty of players making much-anticipated debuts. With big names like Luka Doncic ($10,000), Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,200) and Joel Embiid ($9,800) available to roster, you’ll want to find ways to fit them into your lineup. Here are some great ways to save money and accomplish just that.

PF Danilo Gallinari, ATL at CHI, $5,100
With no Clint Capela (Achilles) tonight for Atlanta, John Collins ($7,600) is expected to get all the run he can at center. That leaves open a spot in the starting lineup at the four, which Gallo should slide right into. Though Cam Reddish ($3,900) will play and could fight for minutes on the wing, the veteran should see over 30 minutes and deliver some solid value on this number with 35-40 DKFP upside. Gallo has averaged 19 points and shot roughly 40% from 3-point range over the past five years of his career, so there’s reason to be excited.
SG/SF Luguentz Dort, OKC at HOU, $3,800
This should be a relatively chalky value spot, but it’s a shot worth taking in GPPs, as well, given the copious amount of minutes Dort should receive. Without Theo Maledon (personal), Trevor Ariza (personal) and Ty Jerome (ankle), the Thunder are realistically down to just Dort, Hami Diallo ($4,200) and Darius Miller ($3,000) — who’s working his way back from an Achilles tear — on the wings. Dort, who dazzled in the playoffs the last time we saw him, should get starter minutes here as one of the more important perimeter defenders on this team. While the upside isn’t massive due to his lack of a tantalizing offensive game, you’re still getting a boatload of minutes under $4K.
SG Grayson Allen, MEM vs. SA, $3,700
Allen shot over 46% from three last year, and was capable of a 25.0 DKFP night whenever he saw the floor enough. Wings Jaren Jackson (knee), Jontay Porter (knee), Justise Winslow (hip) and Killian Tillie (hamstring) will all be out tonight, meaning the bench for Taylor Jenkins will be short against the Spurs. Jenkins was already experimenting with playing Allen with the starters in Memphis’ final preseason tune-up last weekend, and Allen saw a lot of usage in the team’s final games of 2019-20, so it’s very possible they get him heavily involved in the rotation this season. It’s always difficult to know what rotations are going to look like before we see the teams play, so this is an educated guess, but getting potentially 8x value is always enticing.
PG/SG Donte DiVincenzo, MIL at BOS, $4,000
What’s not to love here? DiVincenzo is the team’s starter at the two guard, he has positional flexibility and he improved drastically from year one to year two. The third-year guard out of Villanova averaged 14.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per 36 minutes last year, and should be on the floor plenty in a very close game, as Milwaukee is a narrow road favorite. The implied total (224.0) isn’t astronomical, but DiVincenzo should still be able to push for 15 points here, and you already know his potential elsewhere on the stat sheet.
