Forwards

Studs

Patrick Bamford ($9,100)

Bamford has been the most proficient offensive player for Leeds this season, by a distance. He has scored 10 goals so far, tied for fifth in the EPL. He even scored from the penalty spot in the previous game against Burnley after winning that spot kick himself. He has taken 54 shots this season, double that of the next on that list for Leeds.

Values

Bukayo Saka ($7,900)

Saka has been very impressive this season. Let’s be honest, Arsenal has been woeful this season, compared to the team’s usual lofty standards. To stand out in a season of sloppy, lackadaisical, temperamental play takes a lot. Saka won a free kick that eventually led to a goal and scored another against Chelsea on Saturday. In the post-game presser, he mentioned he saw Edouard Mendy off his line and chipped him, showcasing his skill and in-game acumen.

Others to consider: Raphinha ($9,700)

Midfielders

Studs

James Ward-Prowse ($8,600)

Ward-Prowse is third in Southampton in two key offensive metrics this season: goals scored (four) and assists (three). He has been a pivotal player because he is the team’s playmaker, often picking up the (set)pieces. He has completed 1,015 passes, highest for Southampton and seventh in the EPL. He should have another solid game here.

Values

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ($6,700)

Aubameyang was not needed in a 3-1 win against Chelsea. Even though he was seen warming up on the sidelines, manager Mikel Arteta chose to give him the day off, which is vital in this busy December period. He should return to the starting XI for this game, considering the quick turnaround. He has averaged 8.8 DKFP per game.

Others to consider: Solly March ($8,300)

Defenders

Studs

Aaron Cresswell ($6,400)

Cresswell has made some smart plays this season. He is leading West Ham United in assists this season with four. This has been primarily achieved by his runs down the left flank to whip deliveries into the box for West Ham’s tall dead-ball specialists. He has even completed 709 passes, third-most for his club this season.

Values

Kyle Walker-Peters ($5,100)

In all three tangible defensive metrics, Walker-Peters has made a difference for Southampton. He is leading Southampton in interceptions won (26), second in successful tackles (41) and third in clearances (20). He will continue to be hard to get past in the final third for opponents, which is how he has collected 7.6 DKFP per game.

Goalkeepers

Alex McCarthy ($5,200)

McCarthy has kept six clean sheets this season, third-most in the Premier League. West Ham has scored 23 goals this season, but Southampton has conceded just 19. Only five teams have conceded fewer goals than that tally this season. McCarthy’s presence has had a big part to play in that defensive strength for Ralph Hassenhutl.

Others to consider: Bernd Leno ($5,000)
