Tom Brady, NE vs. CIN ($7,300)

The passing options for this Weather Wednesday slate are not great. Due to the bad weather, I would like to roster a QB who can do damage with his legs, and we don’t have any of those kind of options at the high end. Instead, I am going to go with the guy who has been the overall best quarterback on the slate in this spot. Brady averages 19.0 DKFP and draws a really easy matchup against the Bengals.

Josh Allen, BUF vs. LAR ($6,300)

While Allen is the archetype of the quarterback I am looking for on a Weather Wednesday, I have some concerns about the matchup. Playing well against the Rams is no easy task. Even so, I feel obligated to make him my choice here due to his ability to run the football. Allen has tallied 1,458 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground in our sims. That could be enough for him to come away with a decent game despite the bad weather and tough matchup.

Running Backs

Alvin Kamara, NO at WAS ($6,700)

There are a few decent running back options on the high end tonight. The main reason I am landing on Kamara is due to his matchup against the Redskins. Washington has had one of the more beatable defenses in our simulations and have allowed over 20 points in six consecutive games. This should lead to a big game for Kamara, who has has scored over 20 DKFP in six of his last nine games.

Giovani Bernard, CIN at NE ($3,500)

The safest pick we can make on this slate is the Patriots beating the Bengals. New England has been one of the best teams in our simulations and the Bengals are one of the worst teams in Madden. Due to the likely game script with Cincy playing from behind, Bernard is setup to play most of the fourth quarter and rack up PPR points as the team’s pass catching back. For his price, Bernard has actually been pretty decent in Madden and averages 8.6 DKFP.

Wide Receivers

Michael Thomas, NO at WAS ($8,200)

If paying up for a wideout, Thomas looks like the obvious choice on paper. He’s the only player at the position averaging more than 13.5 DKFP. With an average of 17.9 DKFP per game, Thomas has been way more productive than any other wide receiver playing tonight. In addition, he’s scored at least 32 DKFP in three of his last four games.

Paul Richardson Jr., WAS vs. NO ($3,800)

One of the better cheap receiver in our sims, Richardson is scoring a healthy 13.1 DKFP per game. He also has a decent amount of upside and has scored over 20 DKFP a handful of times. With Washington likely having to play from behind against the Saints, I expect that will see plenty of targets going the way of Richardson in the passing game.

Tight Ends

Jared Cook, NO at WAS ($5,100)

One of only three tights ends playing tonight who average double-digit DKFP, Cook averages 14.2 DKFP and draws a great matchup against the Redskins. In total, he’s caught 162 passes for 1,7777 yards. Cook doesn’t score a ton of touchdowns which somewhat limits his upside, however the amount of catches and targets that come his way helps to increase his floor.

Ben Watson, NE vs. CIN ($3,900)

Per dollar, Watson is my favorite play on this slate. He’s actually almost always my favorite value on any slate that involves the Patriots. He’s one of the top fantasy producers at tight end with an average of 14.8 DKFP and Watson rarely costs much cap space. It’s hard to reason playing anybody other than him at tight end and with 1,983 receiving yards, he should eclipse the 2,000-yard mark tonight.

Defense/Special Teams

Patriots DST vs. CIN ($3,000)

Playing at home against the Bengals and in bad weather, the Pats’ defense should be able to have a strong fantasy game. At the very least, they should be able to score a few DKFP, which is more than we can usually count on for a DST. Andy Dalton ($5,900) has the worst Madden rating of any starting QB on the slate and Cincy has scored over 20 points in just two of its last nine games.
