After an abject thrashing against Sheffield United, Chelsea now returns home to host relegated Norwich City to open a new gameweek in the Premier League. There is plenty at stake with Chelsea still having to fight for European spots. We break down DraftKings’ EPL soccer Showdown for Tuesday below.

Willian ($18,000)

Willian looked a tad off against Sheffield United. It was plausibly due to fatigue after playing so many games in such a condensed period. Chelsea now returns to Stamford Bridge, needing a win to improve their chances of finishing in the top four. Frank Lampard will turn to his playmaker to pick himself up after a fantastic individual start after the restart.

Others to consider: Christian Pulisic ($15,900)

High-priced flex options

Christian Pulisic ($10,600)

Despite a sudden lack of goals for Chelsea and Pulisic, stick with the tried and tested players. Pulisic has the skill of dribbling past defenders and even mature composure in front of goal for someone so young. Proof of that was in his goal against Manchester City last month. He has scored eight goals this season but isn’t far away from taking that tally into double digits.

Tammy Abraham ($9,000)

Picking between Abraham and Olivier Giroud ($9,600) should be left only to Chelsea manager Lampard. I’d say draft whoever starts between the pair because it’s implausible both will. Abraham has scored 14 goals this season, which means there is plenty of confidence in his form. He had scored a fine goal against Crystal Palace, his only goal after the restart.

Mason Mount ($8,600)

Mount hasn’t quite hit his stride after the resumption of the Premier League. He certainly has the faith of his manager, and rightly so. He has been quite effective at swinging crosses into the box or even taking one touch to convert half-chances. In total, he has scored six goals with four assists in this Premier League season.

Value flex options

Ross Barkley ($7,800)

Barkley is seeing more playing time on the pitch, and not many can argue he hasn’t earned it. He has bided his team and now reaping the rewards. His pace opens up defenses so late in the season, with fatigue definitely creeping in. He has already scored after the restart. He has moved back into a defensive role well, too. His addition to Chelsea’s starting XI just adds a bit more penetrative depth to the offensive attack.

Cesar Azpilicueta ($7,000)

Chelsea’s on-field captain will have to pick his team back up after a crushing 3-0 loss to Sheffield United, a performance that Lampard said he wanted to “put to bed”. Back home now, Azpilicueta will form one-fourth of Chelsea’s defensive line-up. He will also be required to move forward down the flanks and assist if he can. He has averaged 10.2 DKFP per game so far.

Others to consider: Kepa Arrizabalaga ($8,200)
