Tuesday’s slate kicks off with an NFC clash between the Panthers and the Lions in virtual Detroit at 12 p.m. ET. At 2 p.m. ET, the Giants head to the desert to take on the Cardinals in another NFC matchup. The 4 p.m. ET contest features the Jets visiting the Raiders before the Titans take on the Cowboys at 6 p.m. ET. The primetime contest at 8 p.m. ET is between the Saints and Texans and features plenty of intriguing fantasy options, and we close out the day with a matchup of the best teams from each conference as the Patriots visit the 49ers at 10 p.m. ET.
With those 12 teams providing so many good options, there are lots of ways to assemble your squad. I’ll give you my favorite plays at each position and price point for this slate below. For more information, check out the Madden info page for all the data on player ratings, special abilities and what you can look forward to coming soon.
Deshaun Watson, HOU vs. NO, $7,500 — Watson has been one of the best go-to options at QB in these sims and is averaging an impressive 22 DKFP per sim, which is a full 3.0 DKFP higher than any other QB on this slate. Watson is so productive because he adds rushing yards on top of his solid passing. He is averaging 214.5 passing yards and 47.5 rushing yards per sim and has totaled 69 touchdowns with 57 passing and 12 rushing. Watson had over 20 DKFP in six straight before the Chiefs held him below that number in his most recent sim. He hasn’t faced the Saints since his very first sim, and settings have been adjusted since then, so i’m confident he can improve on his 12.68 DKFP from that contest. He has both low risk and a high ceiling as he and the Texans host the Saints.
Other Options — Drew Brees ($7,800), Tom Brady ($7,200)
Sam Darnold, NYJ at OAK, $5,700 — Darnold and the Jets got a nice win on Sunday over the Jags, going to virtual Jacksonville and coming away 28-9 winners. Darnold led the way with 32.26 DKFP on four touchdowns and 334 yards. He has been solid lately with multiple touchdowns in five of his past six games and gets a very good matchup against the Raiders. He had 281 yards, two touchdowns and 20.54 DKFP in their first meeting and has been much better on the road (17.3 DKFP per sim) than at home (15.9 DKFP per sim). He isn’t as safe as Watson, but if you’re looking for a cheap pivot, he would be my first value QB to take a look at.
Other Option — Dak Prescott ($6,600), Daniel Jones ($5,500)
Tevin Coleman, SF vs. NE, $6,800 — After 34 sims of being one of the best RBs in Madden, Coleman’s salary is starting to adjust to match his production. This is the highest his salary has been since these sims started, but he’s still worth a look because he has been so dominant on his way to an average of 17.6 DKFP per sim. Coleman didn’t have a great game in his most recent sim against Green Bay but had 100 rushing yards or more resulting in at least 19 DKFP in three of his four previous contests. He has scored 28 touchdowns in his 34 sims and had one against New England in their first meeting. Coleman has an incredibly high ceiling even against a good defense like the Patriots, so give him a look even though he isn’t as affordable as he has been in the past.
Saquon Barkley, NYG at ARI, $6,600 — Barkley has been another one of the best RBs across these sims and just dominated the Bengals for 197 yards and 30.7 DKFP in his most recent contest. He has over 80 rushing yards in five straight and has boosted his average to 15.4 DKFP per sim with 17 touchdowns. He had a great game against the Cards in their first meeting, running for 150 yards and a touchdown and adding 83 receiving yards and a second score on his way to 41.3 DKFP. The Cardinals run defense is suspect and should be a matchup Barkley can take advantage of once again.
Other Option — Ezekiel Elliott ($7,000), Alvin Kamara ($6,700)
J.D. McKissic, DET vs. CAR, $3,800 — McKissic has been one of the best RB2 options in Madden since he gets so much work as a third-down specialist. He had his sixth touchdown of the sims against Washington and finished with 15.3 DKFP in his most recent contest. He has over nine DKFP in 11 of his 34 sims (32%), and he’s a great return on such a minimal investment if he hits that number against the Panthers. He had four catches for 77 yards and a total of 13.6 DKFP the first time these teams met.
Other Options — Josh Jacobs ($4,700), David Johnson ($4,200)

Michael Thomas, NO at HOU, $8,500 — Slowing down Thomas has been a difficult task for any defense in these sims and the Texans’ secondary has struggled all sim season long to contain anyone. Thomas has caught a touchdown in seven straight sims in which he has been involved, raising his total to 25 in his 34 contests. He is averaging exactly 5.0 catches for 73.6 yards and 17.7 DKFP. Thomas should be able to continue to put up great numbers in this matchup, and he’s worth paying up for if you can save the salary elsewhere.
Other Options — DeAndre Hopkins ($8,100), DJ Moore ($6,500)
Marvin Jones Jr., DET vs. CAR, $5,000 — Jones is one of the best WR2 options in Madden and has scored 15 touchdowns in his 34 sims while piling up 1,745 yards for an average of 51.3 yards per contest. He had over 100 yards in his most recent contest and finished with a healthy 20.8 DKFP. He has the potential to go off in any one game since he is such a red zone threat and is almost always involved with multiple catches and opportunities.
Zay Jones, OAK vs. NYJ, $3,900 — While the former second-round pick of the Bills hasn’t panned out in the NFL yet, he has been very good in these sims due to a solid speed rating that gives him a high ceiling. He has four touchdowns in his past five sims, bringing his total to 17 scores on the season to go with 3.4 receptions for over 50 yards per contest. Jones gets a good matchup against the Jets secondary that has allowed some big plays and allowed him to catch five passes for 82 yards in their first meeting.
Other Options — Will Fuller V ($4,800), Danny Amendola ($4,200)
Evan Engram, NYG at ARI, $5,800 — Engram has the highest speed rating of any TE in Madden and gets a great matchup against Arizona. Engram had 4-74-0 for 11.4 DKFP in their first meeting and has actually been very consistent with over 9.0 DKFP in 71% of his matchups. He had seven catches for 68 yards, a touchdown and 19.8 DKFP in his most recent game against the Bengals, and has at least four catches in 15 of his past 16 sims. With so much volume and speed, he has elite upside in this matchup.
Other Options — George Kittle ($6,200), Jared Cook ($5,200)
Ben Watson, NE at SF, $4,900 — It’s not a great matchup, but no matchup has been able to slow down Watson very much in these sims. The veteran TE has piled up 178 catches and 2,243 yards in his 34 sims for an average of 5.2 catches for 66.0 yards per sim. He had another 100-yard game against the Seahawks in his most recent contest and continues to thrive running all of Gronk’s old routes in New England’s top-tier playbook.
Darren Waller, OAK vs. NYJ, $4,800 — Waller also had over 100 yards in his most recent sim and runs many similar routes to Watson’s in the Raiders’ playbook, which is also one of the best in Madden. Waller has at least four catches in three straight and 10 of his past 12. He can totally dominate the game and should be in a solid place to do just that if he gets high volume against the Jets.
Other Options — T.J. Hockenson ($4,000), Darren Fells ($3,500)
Panthers DST at DET, $2,800 — The Panthers have averaged 6.5 DKFP per sim, mostly on the strength of Luke Kuechly and his 99 overall rating. He has helped the defense recover 28 fumbles and force 35 turnovers in their 34 games. They have four defensive touchdowns and 76 sacks as well, and they’ll look to get pressure on the Lions, whose offense has been spotty at times in these sims.
Other Option — Patriots ($3,000), Cowboys ($2,900)
Jets DST at OAK, $2,700 — New York’s defense is one of the few in Madden that has created more turnovers than the Panthers. They have 39 takeaways in their 34 games while adding 63 sacks and six defensive touchdowns to average 7.2 DKFP per sim. While Oakland’s offense and playbook are pretty solid, they are prone to turning the ball over at times, so Jamal Adams and his hard-hitting secondary could be able to jar the ball loose and make some plays in this matchup.
Other Option — Cardinals ($2,500), Titans ($2,000)
