After seeing some sleepers turn heads last week, we are back with more Call of Duty action on Friday. Given it is the second to last event before the playoffs, we do not have much season left, so let’s get into it below.
Coming off of his first win in the CDL, Mack is looking to carry that momentum into this event. Currently sitting atop his team’s KD ratio at 1.12, he went above that last week, posting a 1.22 KD. Mack was one of the reasons this team was able to shock the league last week. His respawn game has been exceptional and his teammates playing on the same level only makes his job easier.
Attach is clearly a player who didn’t get the message that the MP5 was nerfed. The SMG Slayer went for a big 1.14 KD ratio, which was a nice jump from the 1.08 he normally averages. When his ARs hold down lanes and allow him to get in place as they have been, Attach has proven to be lethal.
Other to consider: Owakening ($14,400)
Heading into this weekend, Shotzzy and Co. have had an extra week to work with the new meta, as well as observe how it affected other teams. Shotzzy entered this year with high expectations, although it was not a pretty transition at first. It wasn’t until late April at the CDL Chicago Home Series that the former Halo phenom dropped an impressive 1.29 KD, solidifying his worth.
Clayster is one of the most experienced Call of Duty Veterans in the league. He is the best Search and Destroy player on Empire, and one of the best in Hardpoint. Clayster has not had the flashiest numbers lately, but with the new meta changes, his productivity as an AR main should be going up. Having a player with as much game sense as Clay is always a plus.
Other to consider: Proto ($8,600)
Florida Mutineers ($2,800)
The Mutineers had a week off from tormenting the rest of the league and were tucked away practicing for this event. With the way Chicago played last week, it knocked Florida out of the top two seeds. This will give them something to play for, as there are not many CDL points up for grabs since this is the second to last event.
New York Subliners ($1,400)
New York shocked the world last week and now we’ll see if they can go back-to-back while making a late run for a high seed. The new meta suits them well, as this could very well be their postseason. Currently sitting fifth in the league, New York has their eyes set on the top four to get a potential bye come playoffs. Let’s see what this weekend brings us!
Others to consider: Dallas Empire ($2,200)
