Captain
Bruno Fernandes ($17,400)
Fernandes was a tad fatigued against Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinal. That’s completely understandable considering the number of games that have been packed in such a short period of time to complete this season. He has still managed to provide Manchester United with precision and quality in the middle of the field. He is the only player among both teams to have passed an average of 20 DKFP (23.3 DKFP per game).
Others to consider: Marcus Rashford ($15,300)
High-priced flex options
Marcus Rashford ($10,200)
Rashford has been a bright light after the lockdown for United. His pace down the flanks has been a nightmare for defenders. He has scored 17 goals this season for United in the EPL and is also in an intense battle with Anthony Martial for most goals for his team. That won’t matter on Wednesday, the win will. Expect another sparkling show from Rashford.
Anthony Martial ($10,000)
There are European spots still to play for. Martial has helped put United in this position with some renewed energy and confidence. He has also scored 17 goals in the EPL this season. The manner of many of those goals will please manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: precise, accurate, composed finishes. He was brought on off the bench against Chelsea on Sunday, which means he could be fresher than most of his colleagues.
Michail Antonio ($9,600)
West Ham has also found a new lease of life. That spark was provided with Antonio’s four goals in a sensational individual performance against Norwich City. He won’t repeat those heroics in this game at Old Trafford but if West Ham was to score, it’s highly plausible Antonio had some part to play in that.
Others to consider: Jarrod Bowen ($8,800).
Value flex options
Mason Greenwood ($7,800)
Greenwood provided United with some brilliance in a few consecutive games after Project Restart with some gorgeous goals from outside the box, including against Bournemouth and Aston Villa. With just two games left before the end of the season, United will look to the exuberance of the 18-year-old to provide some energy in an exhausting period.
David de Gea ($6,800)
De Gea was poor on Sunday against Chelsea. It’s unlike him to make an error but he made two fatal mistakes against a quality Chelsea team, leading to United’s exit from the FA Cup. He will be the first to want to correct those erroneous plays in the Premier League when West Ham makes the journey to Manchester from London. It’s quite likely he will keep a clean sheet here.
Others to consider: Paul Pogba ($6,200).
