Even though MLB is coming back on Thursday, DraftKings continues to provide some great sports simulations. Each day there are six Madden Streams with eight free contests to be a part of. You can play a single-game Showdown for each contest along with an all-day, six-game classic contest and a three-game late slate.
Each simulation will be played out via an online Madden Stream using Madden 2020 with rosters and ratings from the end of the 2019-20 season. In this format, you can enjoy watching the game stream on the DraftKings YouTube channel, on the DK Live app (download here) or right here in this post. Follow along to watch your fantasy team pile up fantasy points. The stream begins at 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 23.
Russell Wilson, SEA at NO, $8,000 — There are two elite options at quarterback to consider: either Wilson or Patrick Mahomes ($8,200). When comparing the numbers and the matchup, everything appears to be in Wilson’s favor. He’s cheaper than Mahomes, averages more DKFP and has the better matchup. While Wilson plays against the Saints in a dome, Mahomes draws a much tougher matchup against the 49ers.
Kyler Murray, ARI vs. DEN, $6,000 — QB looks like a position where we want to pay up. None of the cheap options look all that appealing. If forced to choose one, I would go with Murray for his rushing upside. While throwing the ball has been an issue at times for young quarterback in our sims, he’s had plenty of success on the ground. Murray has rushed for 1,729 yards, leading to some gaudy fantasy totals from time to time.
Tevin Coleman, SF vs. KC, $5,600 — Coleman has been a stud at running back in Madden. Despite almost always being one of the best fantasy producing skill position players on every slate, he’s usually not one of the most expensive. Coleman averages 17.9 DKFP, the most of any RB on this slate, and he’s the third cheapest starter at the position. Coleman is coming off of a 38.6 DKFP game against the Texans in which he scored three touchdowns.
Nyheim Hines, IND vs. LAC, $3,500 — Playing against a tough Chargers team, the Colts could get crushed today. This makes for the ideal game script for Hines as the team’s pass catching back. When playing from behind, Hines gets more playing time and gets the opportunity to rack up PPR points. In our sims, he has 84 catches for 866 yards.

Michael Thomas, NO vs. SEA, $7,900 — On a slate with both Thomas and Tyreek Hill ($7,500) last week, I sided with Hill since Thomas had a tougher matchup. Today, it’s Hill in a tough spot. He’s going to have to beat the secondary of the 49ers and Richard Sherman. Playing against the Seahawks, Thomas has an easier path to success. Closing in on 3,000 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns, Thomas is averaging 18.1 DKFP overall.
Mike Williams, LAC at IND, $4,500 — Rostering Williams as a cheap receiver is a no-brainer at this point. Despite being one of the cheaper starting receivers in Madden, he produces as well as any other position player in the game. Williams averages 17.4 DKFP on 2,689 receiving yards with 26 touchdowns.
Travis Kelce, KC at SF, $5,500 — As George Kittle ($5,900) continues to struggle to find the end zone, his DKFP average keeps sliding. He’s failed to score a touchdown in 10 of his last 11 games. As a result, Kelce is averaging more DKFP at a slightly cheaper price. The matchup for Kelce against the 49ers isn’t great, although the Chiefs’ offense tends to produce more often than not. Since Richard Sherman might be able to lock up Tyreek Hill, Mahomes might have to look over the middle for his tight end more often than usual.
Noah Fant, DEN at ARI, $3,600 — With all the big name tight ends on this slate, Fant is a play that will likely go overlooked. This shouldn’t be the case. He’s averaging 11.4 DKFP and has double-digit DKFP in seven of his last 10 games. In a plus matchup against the Cardinals, Fant has the potential to have a massive game at low ownership and as one of the cheapest starting tight ends on the slate.
Jets DST at DET, $2,300 — The Jets’ defense is now averaging 7.3 DKFP, the most of any DST in our sims. This makes it a bit odd to see them priced so cheap in what should be a favorable matchup. The Lions don’t have a great offense and Matthew Stafford ($6,600) averages the second fewest DKFP of any QB on the slate. The Jets have scored at least 11 DKFP in three of their last five games and have accumulated 17 sacks over these games.
