6:45 p.m. ET (NBA) — Report: Nets PF Taurean Prince has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not participate in the NBA restart in Orlando

When we first learned of the bubble in Orlando, there was some chatter of the Nets potentially making a playoff run if the likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were willing to return from long-term injuries. Of course, both superstars will be sitting out the restart and now Prince becomes the fourth other Net to sit out, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Wilson Chandler made his decision early, and then both De’Andre Jordan and Spencer Dinwiddie decided to stay behind after each testing positive. Prince was a solid player in Brooklyn’s rotation this season, averaging 12 points and six boards in 29 minutes per game. Now the Nets will struggle to field any kind of competitive team. — Julian Edlow

11:50 a.m. ET (NBA) — Nets PG/SG Spencer Dinwiddie will not play in the NBA’s restart

Dinwiddie tested positive for COVID-19 last week and has expressed difficulty dealing with the symptoms on social media in recent days. This has resulted in team doctors opting to hold him out of the league restart in Orlando, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. In addition to Dinwiddie, the Nets have also ruled out Kevin Durant (achilles), Kyrie Irving (shoulder) and DeAndre Jordan (COVID-19). They don’t appear to be in much risk of losing their playoff spot since Bradley Beal (shoulder) is out for the Wizards, although the end of the season could get ugly for the Nets. 11:20 a.m. ET (NBA) — Wizards SG/SF Bradley Beal (shoulder) will not play in the NBA’s restart in Orlando

Just a day after news came out that Beal was planning on going to Orlando with the team, the Wizards announced that he has a rotator cuff injury and will not participate in the restart. For the last couple of weeks, Beal has expressed concern about traveling to Orlando and competing in the final stretch of the season. Even with Beal, Washington was going to be a long shot to make the playoffs. His season ends with a career-best 30.5 points per game average. The Wizards’ (+4; +140) first game in the bubble will be against the Suns (-4; -167). — Greg Ehrenberg
