Trent Alexander-Arnold ($14,700)
Alexander-Arnold might not have started this season with this level of production as his aim. He has certainly found it though and he has been a terrific contributor offensively as well as at the back for Liverpool. He has already scored three goals along with 12 assists this season. For context, Kevin De Bruyne has only five more assists than Alexander-Arnold. Also, Liverpool should keep a clean sheet here.
Others to consider: Mohamed Salah ($17,100)
High-priced flex options
Mohamed Salah ($11,400)
I’m not entirely sure how Liverpool will line up for this game. Salah may start on the bench. The reason he is in this category, despite some uncertainty around his starting probability, is because if he does start, then he should definitely be here. He hasn’t quite hit his best form since the resumption of the Premier League. He would want to address that.
Pascal Gross ($9,600)
Brighton hasn’t had much go their way this season. Gross, a German midfielder, has done his part in creating plenty of chances. He has chipped in with two goals and four assists and has even averaged 10 DKFP per game. If Brighton somehow opens up Liverpool’s defense, it might be, in part at least, due to Gross.
Sadio Mane ($10,800)
Liverpool and Mane stayed patient against Aston Villa. As soon as he received some room in the box, he received the ball with a smart first touch and a razing volley to open the scoring for Liverpool. He has scored 15 other similarly classy goals this season, which should make him a crucial addition if he starts.
Others to consider: Neal Maupay ($8,600).
Value flex options
Firmino started on the bench against Aston Villa, possibly to keep him ready for this game while Mane and Salah started. In manager Jurgen Klopp’s rotation policy, Firmino should get the start in this one. He, like Salah, has been a bit underwhelming this month. However, he has still scored eight goals with seven assists this season.
Virgil van Dijk ($5,400)
Liverpool is easily English soccer’s most efficient defense. Liverpool has conceded just 25 goals this season, comfortably the fewest in the Premier League. Van Dijk has been a massive part of that defense. For someone so tall, he has enviable pace and accuracy. He is also a target in the six-yard box in offensive set pieces.
Others to consider: Alisson ($8,200).
