Fantasy Esports Picks: League of Legends (LPL-LCS) Top DraftKings LOL DFS Targets for August 16

Two more playoffs games constitute DraftKings’ LPL-LCS mixed slate for Sunday. We take a look at some suggestions for each position of your League of Legends roster below.

Captain

Puff ($11,400)

An aggressive bot laner will more often ensure a high fantasy return because of their kill participation. Even though the KDA isn’t efficient, there is immense value. That’s where Puff is. He averaged 4.44 kills per game during the regular season of the summer split along with a creep score of 284. He isn’t even that expensive at $11,400.

Others to consider: Bang ($11,100)

Top

TheShy ($6,600)

With the four teams quite close to each other, price shouldn’t be a concern on this slate because there are no apparent favorites. That also doesn’t mean drafting the most expensive player. In this category, though, the most expensive player is the best choice. TheShy has been astounding offensively this season, with 3.27 kills per game.

Others to consider: Ssumday ($6,200)

Jungler

Svenskeren ($6,600)

To be honest, stats aren’t going to be a compelling reason to justify Svenskeren’s selection. He had an appallingly low 1.11 kills along with 3.44 deaths per game in the summer split. However, he has shown consistency right through this year. There is enough skill and experience to back him on those attributes alone.

Others to consider: Ning ($7,000)

Mid

Rookie ($7,400)

Rookie was one of four players to play all 41 maps for Invictus in the regular season. He had a decent KDA (3.2 kills, 2.54 deaths and 6.63 assists per game). While his overall KDA of 3.88 and creep score of 243 was middling, he still provided plenty of value to his team. He has also been averaging 71.8 DKFP per game.

Others to consider: Ryoma ($7,000)

ADC

Bang ($7,400)

An AD Carry should ideally average more than 2.5 kills per game. Even with a low death rate, which Bang maintained, that was still underwhelming for one of the most important positions on a big franchise like Evil Geniuses. Bang might benefit from a matchup he will fancy because if 100 Thieves overextend in team engagements, Bang will capitalize.

Others to consider: Kramer ($7,200)

Support

Zeyzal ($5,600)

This is a stacking play from Evil Geniuses. If you’re looking to hedge your roster by de-risking the team balance of your draft picks, then Poome ($5,200) isn’t a bad choice. It really comes down to the strategy you want to deploy. Zeyzal has been solid in support of his bot laner, averaging 6.28 assists per map during summer.

Team

Invictus Gaming ($5,400)

If Evil Geniuses ($5,200) was able to gain some fluency during the first 18 games, then they might have filled this position. Invictus Gaming was more consistent, steadier and more reliable in clutch team fights, which will inspire plenty of confidence for this crucial playoff fixture.
