Justin Thomas ($11,300) was four shots back to start the final day at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational but was able to rally thanks to a pair of birdies on the 15th and 16th holes to overtake Brooks Koepka and capture his third victory on Tour this year and retake the World No. 1 ranking.

Up next will be the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, which thanks to COVID-19 is in the odd position of being the first major of the year. Brooks Koepka won this event the past two years, posting a -8 and finishing two shots ahead of Dustin Johnson in 2019. Tiger Woods ($9,200) will be making his first appearance since the Memorial Tournament and the 156-golfer field will include just about every major name in golf, including almost all of the OWGR top 50. One player who will not be in the field is Brendan Grace, who withdrew after testing positive for COVID-19 at the Barracuda Championship. The top 65 and ties will make the cut after 36 holes.
