Nikhil Kalro shares his targets and values for Friday, August 7th’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) DraftKings DFS soccer slate, which locks at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Soccer: World Cup-Portugal vs Morocco Witters Sport-USA TODAY Sports

The Champions League returns on Friday with two intriguing games. Both Juventus and Real Madrid will have to overcome first-leg deficits. How will that impact roster construction? We take a look below with studs and value options to consider from each position.

Forwards

Studs

Cristiano Ronaldo ($10,900)

Ronaldo didn’t have a magnificent return to the Serie A after the resumption of the league from open-play situations. He was still devastating in dead-ball scenarios, including the penalty spot and free kicks. He is one of the best players in the world, and his skill and experience will be required by Juventus to overturn a 1-0 deficit in this tie.

Others to consider: Karim Benzema ($6,800).

Values

Gabriel Jesus ($8,200)

Jesus was entrusted with starting duties for Manchester City after the injury to Sergio Aguero. He played his part quite well, providing skilled output in the box. He was particularly good in receiving the ball and slotting it into either bottom corner without needing more than a touch. He could be the beneficiary on the counter-attack in this game.

Midfielders

Studs

Kevin De Bruyne ($10,100)

De Bruyne was arguably the best player in the Premier League this season. He had more than 10 goals and 10 assists, which is not easy to achieve. His precision passing and immaculate finishing was a treat to watch. This might be a more open game with Real Madrid having to chase a deficit, which could make De Bruyne even more lethal.

Values

Raheem Sterling ($8,700)

Sterling hadn’t scored in 2020 for a long while. He broke that drought in the first game back against Manchester City at Etihad Stadium. After the famine came the feast for Sterling, scoring at will against some struggling opponents at home. He even scored a hat-trick. That confidence and momentum will hold Sterling in good stead in a quickly-moving game.

Others to consider: Riyad Mahrez ($8,500)

Defenders

Studs

Juan Cuadrado ($6,200)

Cuadrado has provided both speed and solidity at the back for Juventus. His impetus down the right wing for Juventus has resulted in some open situations, allowing him to pick up the occasional assist with the prowess of Ronaldo in the six-yard box. It’s also hard to see Juventus conceding in this game after trailing 1-0 from the first leg.

Values

Kyle Walker ($4,500)

Walker’s spirit has been one of his assets. He has had several goal-line clearances this season already. He also adds some pace down the right wing. Real Madrid’s modus operandi is more concerted now, which means Walker will need to play a big part in protecting Manchester City’s lead.

Goalkeepers

Ederson ($5,500)

While the rest of the EPL would have been fatigued upon its conclusion, Ederson may not have been. Manchester City’s defense was so strong that Ederson wasn’t even needed to make a save in multiple home games. He will certainly be needed in this game against one of the strongest teams in Europe. There could be a high saves count for Ederson.

Others to consider: Wojciech Szczesny ($5,800).
