Sunday afternoon features an eight-game slate kicking off at 1:05 p.m. ET. It features some big-name pitching options to choose from but also has its fair share of ones to target against as well. This article will feature some of those teams to stack and hopefully rack up a plethora of fantasy points.
As always, you can reach me on the ol’ Twitter machine @SBuchanan24.

1. Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox are one of two teams that have a projected run total of 5.5 runs, with the other being the Twins against the Royals. The Red Sox will be at home against the Blue Jays and Matt Shoemaker ($7,200), who was wrecked for six runs on six hits, three of which were home runs, through 4 2⁄3 innings against the Braves. Shoemaker is simply not missing any bats and his control has been shaky with an 11 BB% in his first two starts. The Red Sox have also been hitting well at home as of today, posting a .324 wOBA with a .163 ISO.
Players to Consider
Xander Bogaerts ($4,300)
J.D. Martinez ($5,400)
Andrew Benintendi ($4,100)
Rafael Devers ($5,100)
Alex Verdugo ($3,300)
2. Detroit Tigers
Do you know which team has been an absolute force against left-handed pitching this season? Well, since I titled this section “Detroit Tigers” you likely know the answer already. Truly though, this team is wrecking lefties and boasts a team .429 wOBA with a .323 ISO thus far in the season through 108 plate appearances. Steven Brault ($6,400) is set to start this game after not recording an out against the Tigers on Friday, allowing four runs on three hits and walking three, good for a -11.5 DKFP outing. Even if Brault is out early, which is very possible, the Pirates’ bullpen has shown some of the worst command in the league with a 14.1 BB%, which is the second highest in the league behind the Cubs at 14.3%. I know rostering the Tigers doesn’t sound exciting but the numbers don’t lie.
Players to Consider
C.J. Cron ($3,100)
Jonathan Schoop ($3,200)
Miguel Cabrera ($2,600)
Niko Goodrum ($3,600)
Austin Romine ($3,000)
DraftKings is hosting a fantasy baseball tournament on Sunday that pays out $200K in total prizes, including $50K to first place. The action locks at 1:05 p.m. ET. Set your DraftKings fantasy MLB lineups here: MLB $200K Relay Throw [$50K to 1st]
3. New York Mets
I’m a tad bit torn on this one because we’re looking to target against Pablo Lopez ($7,000) who had some really putrid numbers on the road last season. Through 47 2⁄3 innings away from Marlins Park, Lopez allowed a .374 wOBA with a 5.69 FIP and 11 of his 15 home runs. Citi Field isn’t exactly a pitchers park but he also gave up 10 runs on 10 hits through three innings here last season. Lefties are the bats to target first as on the road, as they tagged Lopez for a .395 wOBA and a 5.74 FIP. After that, you can fill in any of your remaining spots with righties, as I assume Lopez won’t be in this game long.
Players to Consider
Michael Conforto ($3,700)
Jeff McNeil ($4,000)
Dominic Smith ($3,400)
Pete Alonso ($4,500)
J.D. Davis ($3,600)

4. Atlanta Braves
Vincent Velasquez ($6,500) is set to pitch the first game of a doubleheader after Friday’s game was rained out. It’s important to keep in mind that this game will only be seven innings, as the MLB’s new rule for doubleheaders includes seven-inning games. If the game is tied at that point, they’ll go into the eighth with a runner on second for each subsequent half inning. Once again, lefties are the focal point of the stack, as Velasquez allowed a .344 wOBA with a 4.93 FIP against them last season.
Players to Consider
Freddie Freeman ($5,500)
Marcell Ozuna ($4,700)
Nick Markakis ($4,300)
Dansby Swanson ($4,900)
Ender Inciarte ($3,700)
