The MLB season is coming down the home stretch and it’s a great time to get in on some DraftKings action. Monday features an eight-game main slate, starting at 6:37 p.m., to start the week off right.

PITCHER

Stud

Jacob deGrom, NYM vs. TB, $10,500 - This might be the final start for deGrom this season. The significance is that he can put a stamp on a strong season and put himself in position to potentially win his third consecutive Cy Young. He is currently competing with Yu Darvish and Trevor Bauer for the award. Due to this, I expect deGrom to work deep into the game. He has a 2.09 ERA and averages 24.5 DKFP per start.

Value

Josh Fleming, TB at NYM, $6,600 - This is a brutal slate for cheap pitchers. None of them really stand out and most of the value options are at risk of scoring negative fantasy points. Fleming isn’t actually starting, but he’s expected to enter the game as a long reliever for the Rays. He scored 11.1 DKFP in this role last week and that would probably be a better outcome than what I expect from other cheap pitchers. The real best course of action is to go cheap with hitters and spend up for pitching.

CATCHER

Stud

Salvador Perez, KC vs. STL, $4,600 - Not only is Perez having a great season, he’s finishing strong. He has a .361 batting average and four homers in his past six games. Perez is riding an eight-game hitting streak with double-digit DKFP in six of those games.

Value

Yadier Molina, STL at KC, $3,900 - As the Cardinals push to clinch a playoff spot, Molina is playing every day and producing better results lately in what has generally been a down season for him at the plate. Molina has reached base in five consecutive games and has at least 10 DKFP in two of his past three games.

FIRST BASE

Stud

Luke Voit, NYY at TOR, $5,400 - Did anybody pick Voit to lead baseball in homers? Frankly, he was a long shot to even lead the Yankees in long balls to open the season. Now, he’s sitting at 21 homers and it’s almost a shock when he doesn’t go yard. Voit has five homers in his past six games as the Yankees’ offense is getting in gear for the postseason.

Value

Yuli Gurriel, HOU at SEA, $3,100 - This is a cheap price for Gurriel even though he’s been struggling a bit lately. The good news is that he’s facing a lefty tonight in Marco Gonzales ($7,600), and Gurriel is doing his best work against southpaws this season. He has a 166 wRC+ against left-handed pitching, so this is the perfect spot for him to break out of his funk.

SECOND BASE

Stud

Ozzie Albies, ATL vs. MIA, $5,100 - As the Braves continue to win games to seal the NL East crown, Albies is putting up a ton of huge fantasy performances. He has a hit in eight of his past nine games and I am always looking to target Albies against lefties. For his career, Albies has a 146 wRC+ against southpaws. He has a clear dominant side as a switch-hitter.

Value

Dylan Moore, SEA vs. HOU, $3,900 - Moore isn’t getting enough recognition for how strong of a season he’s having. Playing on a Mariners team that doesn’t get much attention, Moore is blending power and speed to put up a strong fantasy year. He has hit eight homers and is among the league leaders with 12 stolen bases. Moore also has a career-best 142 wRC+.

THIRD BASE

Stud

Alex Bregman, HOU at SEA, $4,900 - Compared to last year, this is a disappointing season for Bregman. Dealing with injuries, he has never really gotten into a groove and he only has four homers. On the positive side, we rarely get to roster him for under $5,000 and he reached base a couple of times yesterday. Bregman has drawn four walks to three strikeouts in his past six games, which is a good indication that he’s getting more comfortable at the plate.

Value

Ke’Bryan Hayes, PIT vs. CHC, $3,600 - Hayes is quietly having a strong season for the Pirates and he draws a great matchup against Jon Lester, who is fading as a pitcher. He has a career-low average fastball velocity and Hayes has scored at least 11 DKFP in three of his past four games. Overall, Hayes is averaging 8.8 DKFP for the season which is the second-most of any third baseman on today’s slate.

SHORTSTOP

Stud

Bo Bichette, TOR vs. NYY, $5,300 - After missing a bunch of time due to injury, Bichette came back and didn’t miss a beat. He’s averaging 10.1 DKFP for the season and looks like the best prospect on a Blue Jays team loaded with highly-regarded young hitters. Bichette did a bit of everything last night and scored 17 DKFP.

Value

Erik González, PIT vs. CHC, $3,900 - I don’t actually like González all that much, but I like him more than I like Lester. This isn’t saying much, although in a matchup between a bad pitcher and a bad offense, give me the Pirates. I’ll make cheap stacks of them today to pair with expensive pitchers and Gonzalez will be in the mix for me.

OUTFIELD

Stud

Ronald Acuña Jr., ATL vs. MIA, $5,900 - In a favorable matchup, it’s tough to ignore Acuna despite his lofty price tag. He’s scored over 25 DKFP in two of his past three games and is breaking slates even as a really expensive play. Pitchers can’t even work around Acuna since the Braves’ lineup is so deep.

Value

Corey Dickerson, MIA at ATL, $3,700 - Dickerson has been a bit too cheap for most of the season. Even with recent strong play, his salary hasn’t budged. In fact, Dickerson has gotten $100 cheaper during a current three-game stretch in which he’s averaging 14.3 DKFP. Overall, this has been a solid season for the Marlins as a team and Miami is flying under the radar on most days.
