Fantasy Baseball Stacks: Top DraftKings MLB DFS Offenses to Target for September 3

Steve Buchanan gives his top offenses to target for Thursday’s six-game DraftKings MLB slate, which locks at 4:05 p.m. ET.

This DraftKings main MLB slate locking at 4:05 p.m. ET on a Thursday is wild! Maybe you don’t have a ton of time for research and you’re in low-key panic mode. The great news is, I did that research for you and will give some of my favorite DraftKings stacks on this short, six-game slate.

As always, you can reach me on the ol’ Twitter machine @SBuchanan24.

1. Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays as my favorite stack is more of a move because of the weather. I do like some of the other teams listed below but we have some weather concerns in New York and Philadelphia. Thus, if you want to steer clear of that, the Blue Jays are the play. They take on Martin Perez ($6,400), who has really struggled at Fenway Park to the tune of a .362 wOBA with a 5.52 FIP and three of his five home runs allowed. As for the Jays, when it comes to lefties, this has a been a strong point for them with a .338 wOBA, a .191 ISO and just a 22.1% K% of their own. With no weather in the way, this feels like the safest stack on this slate.

Players to Consider

Teoscar Hernandez ($4,400)
Randal Grichuk ($3,800)
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ($4,300)
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ($3,900)
Jonathan Villar ($4,100)

2. Washington Nationals

As I mentioned, this is one of the potential trouble spots for weather tonight. This game shouldn’t have an issue starting, it’s a matter of how much they can play. The likelihood of rain increases as the night moves on, meaning they may not play the full nine innings. With that in mind, Zach Eflin ($7,800) is certainly someone we’d be wanting to target against. His overall numbers are worse than they should be, as his 2.71 FIP indicates. However, he’s always struggling against lefties and that hasn’t changed this season, either. Thus far, he’s allowed a .488 wOBA and a 6.56 FIP to LHB with all three of his home runs allowed. So add the lefties first to your stack and then fill out the rest with righties.

Players to Consider

Juan Soto ($5,600)
Asdrubal Cabrera ($4,400)
Eric Thames ($3,500)
Trea Turner ($5,300)
Adam Eaton ($3,400)

3. Philadephia Phillies

It’s really unfortunate that we have rain to worry about in this game because it makes for a great game stack. Anibal Sanchez ($7,400) has been a complete disaster in 2020 and has poor numbers against both sides of the plate. So it’s no surprise to see him with a 6.06 FIP and a 2.4 HR/9 on the season. Unlike the Nationals, we don’t need to be choosey about our bats in this one and could truly just run with the 1-5 bats and call it a day. The Nationals’ bullpen has also been shaky as of late especially, with a 5.08 FIP and a 5.2 BB/9 over the last week.

Players to Consider

Bryce Harper ($6,000)
J.T. Realmuto ($5,100)
Rhys Hoskins ($4,700)
Didi Gregorius ($4,400)
Jay Bruce ($2,900)

4. Chicago White Sox

The White Sox are one of the best hitting teams against lefties, so what gives here? Well to be fair, Danny Duffy ($7,100) has pitched well this season. His 4.10 FIP, 27.8% K% and just a 6.9% BB% have all been solid. He’s been limiting hard contact at just 37% and he’s been inducing an 11% swing-and-miss rate. He just made a road start against this team and while he allowed seven hits, only four runs score with three of them earned. Duffy has allowed two runs or less in four of his seven starts, so he’s doing well. Nonetheless, the White Sox pose as a legitimate threat to break the mold with a .400 wOBA, a .268 ISO and a 159 wRC+, all of which are the best in the league.

Players to Consider

Tim Anderson ($5,500)
Eloy Jimenez ($4,800)
James McCann ($4,400)
Jose Abreu ($5,300)
Luis Robert ($4,700)
