We’ve got two great games on tap for Thursday’s NBA slate, beginning with a must-win for the Toronto Raptors at 6:40 p.m. ET down 2-0 to the Boston Celtics, followed by America’s new favorite team, the Denver Nuggets, coming into their series against the Los Angeles Clippers as big underdogs.

Let’s get right to it and break down some of my favorite bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for these contests.

Toronto Raptors vs. Boston Celtics:

Raptors ML (-127)

This series has not gone Toronto’s way so far, but I am backing a big rebound in Game 3 for the Raps.

Boston had absolutely no business winning Game 2, but did so behind a barrage of shots from Marcus Smart and Jayson Tatum, bringing the Celtics back from the dead late in the game. The scary part here for the Raptors is that we saw regression in the shooting numbers for the team as a whole, yet the Celtics still won.

Put very simply, the Raptors can not shoot this poorly three games in a row. They’ve made just about a quarter of their shots from three, and I think it stops here. This is a team that ranks in the top eight in field goal and three-point percentage.

I think they come out strong here, and also really like them to lead after the first half (-129).

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers:

Nuggets +9 (-110)

The Clippers didn’t inspire a world of confidence when faced with actual problems against the Mavericks, a far inferior team, and only cruised once Kristaps Porzingis was lost to injury. I think the Jamal Murray/Nikola Jokic two-man game will be a different beast, and while I expect them to be able to solve it, it may take them a game or two to get in rhythm.

Looking back on their last matchup in the bubble, the Nuggets hung with the Clippers almost the entire game before eventually falling by 13. That was thanks to Paul George, who has not been playing the same kind of basketball as he was then. I think Denver absolutely hangs in this one.

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers:

Over 223 (-113)

The total in the aforementioned game was 230, which both teams flew over pretty easily. They flew over the total in February, and narrowly missed going over in their third matchup of the year in January.

Obviously the playoffs are a different animal, but I like the chances here. The Nuggets come in off an 80-point outing in Game 7, which is to be expected in a winner-take-all format, and I think some of that is priced into this line. Expect Jamal Murray to return to splashing and Kawhi to return to slashing. I think we see a fun, high-scoring affair tonight.
