POINT GUARD
Stud
Russell Westbrook, HOU vs. LAL, $8,400 — Westbrook was bad on Sunday. Very bad. It actually got to the point where the Lakers challenged a charge call to get overturned to a blocking foul. The call was overturned and led to Russ picking up his fifth foul. As poorly as he was playing, I thought it was in the Lakers’ best interest to have Westbrook out on the court. With all this said, he’s still a great fantasy producer and has to perform better going forward. There is nowhere to go other than up and he averages 49.45 DKFP for the season.
Value
Rajon Rondo, LAL vs. HOU, $3,900 — Rondo is a hotly debated player online. Some people think he’s great and some people think he kind of stinks. There aren’t many opinions in the middle ground and this is basically how all debates work on social media. For what it’s worth, I am on the Rondo is bad part of the discussion. Nonetheless, the Lakers are committed to playing him big minutes and he’s a strong fantasy producer when on the court. The point here is that it doesn’t really matter what you or I think of him. Frank Vogel likes Rondo and played him 29 minutes last game.

SHOOTING GUARD
Stud
James Harden, HOU vs. LAL, $11,000 — It looks like Harden is benefiting from getting away from Lu Dort and Oklahoma City’s perimeter defense. Against the Lakers, he’s making over 50% of his shots from the field and averaging 31.5 points per game. It looks like Harden is in line for a bigger series than how he finished against the Thunder.
Value
Kendrick Nunn, MIA at MIL, $3,200 — The Heat have a lengthy injury report today. Most notably, Tyler Herro is questionable to play. If he’s out, look for Miami to go back to Nunn. He started most of the season, but oddly fell out of the rotation in the playoffs. He was great in the regular season and averaged 25.86 DKP. If Herro is out, I expect Nunn to soak up most of Herro’s minutes. If Herro plays, we can fade Nunn. SMALL FORWARD
Stud
Khris Middleton, MIL vs. MIA, $8,600 — Once again, Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) is questionable to play. He was questionable last game, and even though he started, Giannis wasn’t able to finish the game. He injured his ankle again and this time it looked like a worse injury than the first time. Reports indicate Giannis is still hoping to play, although it’s hard to think he’s likely to play or will be at close to 100% if active. This is why I think we see the Bucks lean heavily on Middleton again after he scored 61.5 DKFP in Game 4.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) has been ruled out for tonight’s game vs. the Heat.
Value
Andre Iguodala, MIA vs. MIL, $3,400 — Not only is Tyler Herro questionable to play for Miami, Jae Crowder is also listed as questionable on the injury. His absence would open up a void on the wing and I expect Iggy is the player Spoelstra would turn to at wing to pick up the slack. Iguodala isn’t much of a fantasy producer at this point in his career, but it isn’t hard to see him hitting value if the Heat are without Crowder and Iggy is forced to play close to 30 minutes.
POWER FORWARD
Stud
Anthony Davis, LAL vs. HOU, $10,600 — As great as P.J. Tucker is defending AD in this series, it isn’t impacting his stat line. Davis is shooting 62.5% from the field against the Rockets and scoring 29.5 points per game. This is leading to Davis averaging 56 DKFP. Tucker’s defense doesn’t matter much for fantasy as long as AD is still filling up the stat sheet.
Value
Kyle Kuzma, LAL vs. HOU, $4,800 — I think it is possible that we see Kuzma move into the starting lineup tonight. This isn’t merit based since he’s struggling in the playoffs, but it’s the result of an injury. JaVale McGee (ankle) is questionable to play and he normally starts at center for the Lakers. If he’s out, we might finally see the Lakers start Davis at center. If this is the case, Kuzma could start at power forward and play extended minutes.
CENTER
Stud
Bam Adebayo, MIA vs. MIL, $8,700 — We have one final injury from the Heat! In addition to Crowder and Herro, Kelly Olynyk is also questionable to play. He was active last game after a questionable designation, but played just nine minutes. If he’s out or limited again, the Heat will have to lean heavily on Bam. He scored 56 DKFP last game and nearly recorded a triple-double.
Value
Dwight Howard, LAL vs. HOU, $3,700 — Howard played zero minutes last game. This makes it pretty tough to score fantasy points. In general, he isn’t a consideration tonight, although he could draw into the starting lineup if McGee is out and the Lakers don’t want Davis at center. In his only two starts this season, Howard averaged 22.88 DKFP, which is more than enough for his price tag. If McGee starts and Howard comes off the bench, fade him with confidence. If Howard starts, this is when we plug him in.
