It’s Thursday, which means we’ve got a short, yet action-packed five-game NBA slate to watch. With some exciting teams like the Sixers, Nuggets and Trail Blazers in action, let’s survey for some player props, totals and sides to take on DraftKings Sportsbook. You can follow me on Twitter (@KennyDucey) for any late adds.

Here’s what jumps out to me on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Indiana Pacers vs. Portland Trail Blazers

Pacers +3 (-109)

The Blazers continue to show us night in and night out that they have little interest in playing defense, most recently in last night’s 132-126 win, and it could be particularly costly against an efficient Pacers offense on Thursday. Indiana traded away Victor Oladipo shortly after Wednesday’s blockbuster James Harden trade, but he was actually sort of hurting Indiana offensively at times this season, shooting 36% from three and taking away shots from Malcolm Brogdon, who has established himself as the best guard on the Pacers’ roster. The biggest thing the Pacers have going for them on offense is Domantas Sabonis, who leads the NBA in paint touches and has been proficient in that area, and Portland hasn’t exactly excelled in stopping power forwards, allowing a 49.4% field goal percentage against the position and 21.2 points per game. Sabonis should make mincemeat of Jusuf Nurkic in the post and Indiana should take this one, feeling good about the improvement they made to their team with the addition of Caris LeVert.

Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors:

Under 225.5 (-109)

Golden State’s defense has really been great over the past couple weeks after getting Draymond Green back into the fold, particularly in the paint, where they’re allowing just 42.5 points per game, which ranks seventh in the NBA. With Eric Paschall working back in, the Dubs will be fully equipped to slow down the Denver offense, which has been great all season and hit all but two overs, but faces a high total tonight against a good defense. This is a tough one to swallow but ultimately I think without Michael Porter Jr. , and perhaps down Gary Harris as well, the Nuggets will be a tick below their normal offensive production.

Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs

Spurs -7 (-110)

I wanted to take the Rockets here after the Harden trade, expecting some attitude following how everything went down, but unfortunately without John Wall, Eric Gordon and Danuel House in the lineup, I’m just not sure how the Rockets score here. This is a team down in the dumps, which has lost four of five, and though they do have Christian Wood to be excited about, there is a little else now that Harden is gone and Oladipo still is on his way to Houston. The Spurs have won four of five, scoring around 112 points per game in their last five, while Houston just lost its leading scorer, is down Wall and Gordon, and mustered just 202 points in its past two games. I’ll lay the points.
