It’s Tuesday, and we’ve got a very strange, yet very fun three-game NBA slate for our viewing pleasure. With big mismatches in both, let’s survey for some player props, totals and sides to take on DraftKings Sportsbook. You can follow me on Twitter (@KennyDucey) for any late adds.

Here’s what jumps out to me on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Atlanta Hawks:

Hawks -5 (-112)

If you haven’t heard by now, the Clippers will be missing perhaps their three best players on Tuesday. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are out under the league’s health and safety protocols, and Patrick Beverley will be held out due to a sore knee. That means Los Angeles’ hopes rest on Luke Kennard, Reggie Jackson and Lou Williams, who are not really enticing options here.

The Hawks have surprisingly been one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, ranking eighth in defensive efficiency, and their offense has been heating up of late, ranking eighth in True Shooting %. Kennard, Jackson and Williams happen to all rank as three of the four worst defenders on the Clippers this season, so Trae Young, Cam Reddish and DeAndre Hunter should have a field day from the arc. Hawks by a lot.

Washington Wizards vs. Houston Rockets:

Rockets -3.5 (-112)

The Wizards may be down to nine players tonight if Raul Neto (groin) doesn’t go, leaving this game all on the shoulders of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal with no one else to speak of on offense. Christian Wood, who is questionable for this game, has begun to really find his rhythm along with the rest of the talented Rockets, who just acquired Victor Oladipo. Houston has won outright in consecutive games as underdogs, and now enter as favorites for just the second time since trading James Harden.

The Rockets are allowing the third-fewest points per game (18.7) to opposing point guards over the past two weeks, so I don’t see Westbrook having a great game here, though Beal should have a good matchup against Oladipo, who is a very weak defender. Still, one man is not going to beat an entire team which looks to be coming together well at the moment.

New York Knicks vs. Utah Jazz:

Jazz -11.5 (-110)

The Jazz have won — and covered — in an amazing eight straight games, and now the suddenly-troubled Knicks, who have lost two straight. In those games, the Knicks’ three-point defense, once though to be impenetrable, has now looked pedestrian. That’s probably because the Knicks have seen their opponents convert the second-fewest uncontested threes in the NBA.

The Jazz, on the other hand, have not only ranked top-three in threes attempted per game, they’ve also hit at the second-highest rate in the NBA. The three-point barrage will be too much for the Knicks to overcome here, and the best team in the league against the spread will keep it moving.
