Friday’s League of Legends action from the Asian circuit is headlined by EDward Gaming facing JD Gaming in the LPL. That and three other games constitute DraftKings’ LPL-LCK slate on Friday. Here is a look at some picks to consider from the four-game LOL slate.

Captain

Ruler ($11,400)

It’s not surprising that Ruler has the lowest death rate in Gen.G (1.46 per game). From a kill participation standpoint, Ruler will always be proficient. In spring so far, he has 3.92 kills and 4.04 assists per game. While he has managed a middling fantasy output of 72.9 DKFP per game, he has the benefit of an advantageous matchup on Friday.

Others to consider: Viper ($11,700)

Top

Flandre ($6,400)

Flandre has some stunning numbers in spring. For a top laner to have a kill to death ratio of around one is par. Flandre, however, has a kill to death ratio of 2. He has averaged 2.78 kills and 1.39 deaths per game in this split. He has even managed 6.06 assists to take his KDA to 6.36, highest in EDward Gaming this season.

Others to consider: Doran ($6,600)

Jungler

XUN ($6,600)

XUN’s kill participation will undeniably come down as this split progresses, but for now, these are rather sensational returns. He is leading Invictus Gaming in kills with five per game. In fact, no other player from Invictus has a kill rate of over four per map. He even has over six assists, taking his kill participation to 11.06.

Others to consider: Clid ($7,000)

Mid

Yagao ($7,600)

I’m torn between Yagao and Bdd ($7,200). Hence, this will come down to your preferred strategy. Yagao offers another reliable option from a solid team, thereby giving you the option to hedge your bets. He has the best KDA in JD Gaming (5.52) with 3.36 kills, 1.64 deaths and 5.71 assists per game. The demerit is he is the most expensive player on this slate.

Others to consider: Bdd ($7,200)

ADC

Viper ($7,800)

Viper’s form cannot be ignored. He has averaged 5.56 kills per map, comfortably the highest in EDward Gaming, along with 5 assists. He has even disengaged from disadvantageous team fights well, which is indicated by his 1.72 deaths per game. This level of output is too compelling even though opponents Invictus Gaming is no pushover.

Others to consider: Loken ($8,000)

Support

Life ($5,400)

For a support player to have a KDA of 3.27 is already valuable. He has averaged 7.29 assists per game, which is steady without being flashy. That’s a snippet of what you can expect from Gen.G and Life in support of his bot laner: reliable and methodical.

Team

Afreeca Freecs ($4,800)

In 25 maps in spring, KT Rolster ($5,000) has won 13. In 24 maps, Afreeca Freecs has won 10. It might seem like a big difference on paper but League of Legends can frequently be decided by one good team fight or baron steal. Afreeca Freecs has the potential to even win this without dropping a map.
