Oregon State vs. UCLA: Oregon State +5 (-109)

After an ugly start to the season, the Beavers have come together down the stretch. They lost the final game of the regular season to Oregon, but prior to that, Oregon State had won four of five games and was on a 7-0 ATS run. UCLA enters the PAC-12 tournament losers of three straight, although the Bruins were underdogs in all three games. UCLA won the last matchup between the two by a score of 57-52, but failed to cover as 11.5-point favorites. We saw a defensive game without many possessions the last time around. I think this should be a similar matchup, but with the Beavers playing better Thursday.

Oklahoma vs. Kansas: OU ML (+120)

The Big 12 is absolutely loaded, with seven teams in the field on Thursday that could realistically win the conference. With how even some of these teams are, I think the Sooners would be a live dog in this game to begin with. But we got concerning news from the Jayhawks that they’d be without a couple of players for this tournament, one of which is big man David McCormack. Averaging 13.4 points and 6.1 rebounds, McCormack’s been a huge contributor for Kansas this season, but the bigger issue is how he’s replaced. The Jayhawks at least have a few options on the wing, but in the paint, they are extremely thin behind McCormack, and I think they’ll really feel it in this game. Oklahoma is a veteran squad, and won’t shy down in this moment. The big man played a huge role in a home win over the Sooners back in January, shooting 8-of-14 with 17 points. Oklahoma was able to neutralize him in a 75-68 home win over Kansas later that month, showing what they are capable of without his impact on the game. Give me to Sooners outright to advance.

North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech: UNC -4 (-112)

It’s a down year in the ACC for sure, but the Tar Heels wasted no time in this tournament reminding us of their upside. UNC dominated Notre Dame in their first game, leading by 50 points at one stage in the second half. The Hokies have had an impressive season, but it’s been a while since they’ve been playing their best ball. While 4-1 ATS in their last five as a dog, VT’s only big win in about two months was over Virginia. But this is more about backing a North Carolina team that seems to be finally tapping into its potential. We’ve seen a massive ceiling of last, going 5-2 over their last seven, with those five wins coming by an insane 133 combined points.

Duke vs. Florida State: FSU -2.5 (-110)

Editor’s note: Duke had a positive test for COVID-19 and will not play tonight vs. Florida State.

I will be looking to add more plays throughout the day on Thursday, so check back.
