We’re quickly approaching the one-year anniversary of the start of these Madden sims on the DraftKings Dream Stream, and to celebrate, there’s a massive Madden Stream $30K One Year Anniversary [$10K to 1st] contest with a chance for one player to turn a $15 entry into $10,000 this Sunday night. We’ll get warmed up for the anniversary weekend with another six sims this Friday including the three-game featured classic slate which kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New England Patriots. At 8:00 p.m. ET, another AFC East team is in action as the New York Jets host the high-powered Kansas City Chiefs. The final game of the day moves over to the NFC for a great matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers.
As in all of these Madden 21 sims, it’s important to know that each roster is not impacted by COVID-19 opt-outs, injuries, suspensions or illness and that the highest-rated options have been placed at the top of the depth charts. The roster for each team includes all player movement that occurred prior to Week 1 of the 2020-21 season and uses the Madden 21 ratings from Week 1 of this season.
For more details, you can find the game settings, depth charts, abilities and X-factors for each team in Madden 21 along with the upcoming schedule on the Madden Stream info page. There were a few tweaks to the X-factors and Superstars in the latest December update, so be sure to check the depth charts of each team.
Check out the daily DraftKings Madden Stream contests lobby with paid contests for real cash prizes now available alongside free contests. Each simulation will be played out computer vs. computer via an online Madden Stream using Madden 21. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs at New York Jets, $7,300 — Mahomes has been outstanding in these sims and has thrown 171 touchdowns while running for 14 more in his 67 sims. He has thrown multiple touchdowns passes and produced over 21 DKFP in seven straight contests and in 14 of his past 15. He just faced the Jets a few sims ago and produced 283 passing yards and three touchdowns on his way to 23.72 DKFP. Mahomes has had a few rare down games, but most of the time this Superstar X-Factor is a great play and always brings an extremely high ceiling. He should be able to feast on the Jets’ secondary as long as the game stays competitive enough for him to stay aggressive and attack down the field.
Other Option — Aaron Rodgers ($7,100)
Cam Newton, New England Patriots vs. Philadelphia Eagles, $6,000 — The Eagles and the Patriots will be facing off for the first time in these Madden 21 sims, but there are still some solid matchups to consider in this early game. Cam is an extremely affordable QB play on this slate and will allow you to stack up stars in your skill spots. Newton has been rolling lately with over 15 DKFP in nine straight sims. He’s shown a solid ceiling with over 21 DKFP in two of those matchups, including a 24.32-DKFP performance at home against the Bears. Cam doesn’t always add a ton of production on the ground but can tack on a rushing score when the situation calls for it. He has 15 rushing scores to go with his 86 passing touchdowns in 60 sims in Madden 21. While it’s always hard to fade Mahomes, Newton is the best option to go with on this slate if you decide to differentiate your lineup by going with a less popular QB.
Other Option — Carson Wentz ($6,900)
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys, $6,500 — Both the Packers and Patriots have solid run defenses in Madden 21, so there’s no need to stretch all the way up for Ezekiel Elliott ($7,200) or Miles Sanders ($6,800) when Jones and Le’Veon Bell ($6,300) are available for significantly less. Jones just went off for 32.4 DKFP against the Cowboys running for 87 yards and two touchdowns while adding six catches for 57 receiving yards. He had seven catches and 15.0 DKFP in their first meeting in Madden 21 as well, so it’s definitely a matchup he can thrive in as a receiving option out of the backfield. Jones is averaging 3.0 catches for 22.0 yards in addition to his 64.1 rushing yards per sim.
Other Option — Miles Sanders ($6,800), Le’Veon Bell ($6,300)
James White, New England Patriots vs. Philadelphia Eagles, $4,400 — The Patriots are the only team on this slate that uses a timeshare in the backfield, so White and Sony Michel ($5,000) are solid options to consider if you decide you can’t spend up for two full-time options. White has hauled in 3.2 catches for 21.0 yards per sim and scored 12 touchdowns in his 60 sims. He has over 7.0 DKFP in four of his six most recent games, including double-digit contributions against the Chiefs and Broncos. He can really pile up catches in certain game scripts as he has shown with multiple eight-catch performances, and he has been involved in every one of the Patriots’ 60 Madden 21 contests in one way or another.
Other Options — Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($5,900)
Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs at New York Jets, $7,100 — Hill had a rare down game in his most recent sim against Arizona, managing just three catches for 25 yards but saving his fantasy day with a late touchdown to finish with 11.5 DKFP. He has 60 touchdowns in his 67 Madden 21 contests, while averaging 6.2 catches for 91.7 yards per game. Hill’s 99 speed rating is the only perfect speed rating in the entire game, and he regularly uses it to get behind defenses for big plays. He had 104 yards, a touchdown and 25.4 DKFP in his past meeting with the Jets and should be able to bounce back nicely against New York’s secondary, which has been vulnerable against deep passes throughout these sims.
Other Option — Davante Adams ($6,800)
Marquise Goodwin, Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots, $4,500 — The Patriots have a very solid secondary in Madden 21, but when they have shown a weakness, it has been against slot WR. Goodwin brings his 97 speed rating to the Eagles’ WR3 and slot responsibilities and has shown an extremely high ceiling when he gets in space. He can go off for monster games and has averaged a solid 3.7 catches for 51.4 yards in his 54 games since COVID-19 opt outs were re-added to the depth charts. Goodwin has scored an impressive 30 touchdowns during his run, including scores in each of his two most recent sims, resulting in 27.1 and 10.6 DKFP. He has hit double-digit DKFP in seven of his past 11 games, and he makes a very nice play at this price range, especially if the tight coverage on the outside forces Carson Wentz ($6,900) to look his way over the middle more than normal.
Chris Hogan, New York Jets vs. Kansas City Chiefs, $3,800 — Hogan is the Jets’ WR2 in these sims and has been a pretty solid contributor when the Jets’ offense has been able to put up points. Hogan had five catches, a touchdown, 77 yards and 18.7 DKFP in his first game against the Chiefs and has produced over 18 DKFP in four of his past eight sims. He only had one catch against the Bills in his most recent contest but should be able to bounce back in this rematch with the Chiefs, in which the Jets could have to air it out to keep up with Kansas City.
Other Options — N’Keal Harry ($5,000), Demarcus Robinson ($4,600), Michael Gallup ($4,400), Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($4,300)
Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New England Patriots, $5,700 — It’s always hard to fade Travis Kelce ($6,200), but Ertz is an option that makes a ton of sense and comes with a slight discount. Ertz should be able to find space against the Patriots, who usually shut down the outside WR but can be beaten by TEs and slot WRs. Ertz usually gets plenty of volume to be an elite play, averaging 5.6 catches for 59.3 yards per sim to go with his 25 touchdowns in 58 Madden 21 sims. He has at least seven catches in four of his past five games and has put up double-digit DKFP in eight of his past 10. His consistent volume makes him a solid alternative to Kelce, or a great option in your flex if you decide to go with both high-priced TEs.
Other Options — Travis Kelce ($6,200), Devin Asiasi ($5,000)
Blake Jarwin, Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers, $4,500 — If you can’t afford the more expensive options at the position, Jarwin is a nice mid-range value at under $5K. He had five catches for 102 yards and 18.2 DKFP in his most recent meeting with the Packers after posting 15.5 DKFP in their first Madden 21 meeting. Jarwin has been a little up-and-down lately with double-digit DKFP in five of his past nine games, but he should thrive in the matchup and get a healthy amount of targets from Dak Prescott ($6,300) since the Packers, like the Patriots, have a Superstar X-factor CB on the outside forcing opposing QBs to look inside to their TEs more often.
Other Option — Marcedes Lewis ($3,500)
Patriots DST vs. Philadelphia Eagles, $3,000 — The Patriots have forced 63 turnovers in 60 sims as one of the most productive DST options in all of Madden 21. They have added 97 sacks and 12 defensive touchdowns to average 5.9 DKFP per contest and have been slightly better at home in virtual Foxborough, where they’re averaging 6.1 DKFP. The Patriots had a rare down game with zero DKFP against the Lions in their most recent sim, but they should be able to bounce back against the Eagles, whose offense has been very hit-or-miss overall in these sims.
Chiefs DST at New York Jets, $2,800 — The Chiefs have the most favorable matchup of this slate, facing Sam Darnold ($5,700) and the Jets. Kansas City had a pair of sacks and 3.0 DKFP when it faced the Jets a few sims ago and should be able to have at least that level of success in this rematch. The Chiefs do have a good ceiling thanks to their pass rush, but they have not forced as many turnovers as the Patriots have, producing 42 takeaways in 67 contests.
