March Madness is back, and after an amazing weekend of games, we’ve reached the Sweet 16. Here’s what jumps out to me on DraftKings Sportsbook for this weekend’s betting card.

Syracuse vs. Houston: CUSE +6.5 (-114)
Leave it to Syracuse to somehow make it in when everyone thinks they are out, then make a deep run. The last few times we’ve seen the Orange as a double-digit seed they’ve won multiple games, and the zone is at it again. Buddy Boeheim is also red-hot right now, giving the Orange a stud to help them past some tough tournament teams. Houston is legit, but they’ve been steamrolling lesser competition along the way. When the Cougars are favored by less than double-digits, they’ve had a much tougher time covering. Houston is 0-4 ATS in its last four when favored by 9.5 or less, including three failed covers in March, and one in the last round. Give me Syracuse here, riding a 5-1 straight up and 6-0 ATS run.

Baylor/Alabama Moneyline Parlay (-120)
I strongly lean towards laying the points with both teams, but the numbers are only growing. Both teams are on tremendous runs right now, and are playing competition that’s arguably just fortunate to be here. UCLA has won three games to get here, but its toughest win is over BYU — this is the first real test. ‘Bama’s offense is clicking on another level during the tournament, and the Bruins should really struggle to keep up. This team’s due for some regression. Meanwhile, Baylor’s going to have the upper hand against any team in the country right now, outside of Gonzaga. Villanova had title hopes to start the season, but key injuries have ripped that away. The Wildcats have looked good in their two wins, but both were over double-digit seeds. Reality sets in during the Sweet 16, and Baylor will be too much to keep up with.
