It will be a limited night of action in the NBA on Tuesday with just four games on the schedule. One of them will at least have plenty of star power when the Phoenix Suns host the Atlanta Hawks. That matchup is also the featured Showdown contest on DraftKings, so let’s discuss some players to consider targeting for your entries.

Phoenix Suns vs. Atlanta Hawks

SHOWDOWN STRATEGY

Captain’s Pick

Devin Booker ($14,400 CP): Booker is coming off of a monster performance in which he scored 35 points against the Hornets. He’s having another efficient season, shooting 49 percent from the field. That number is even more noteworthy when you factor in his 32.2 percent usage rate, which is the second-highest mark of his career. The Hawks rank inside the bottom-10 in the league in defensive rating, so Booker has an excellent opportunity to continue his success in the scoring column.

Chris Paul ($13,800 CP): Paul has provided some juicy start lines lately, scoring at least 42 DKFP in three of the last five games. Although his scoring numbers have taken a slight hit with his new team, he’s averaging 8.5 assists per game, which is his highest mark since the 2016-17 season. Not only are the Hawks a bad defensive team, they have been particularly poor at slowing down opposing point guards, ranking 27th in terms of fantasy points allowed per game to the position.

UTIL Plays

Deandre Ayton ($7,600): This should be a fun center matchup to watch with Ayton squaring off against Clint Capela ($8,800). Both are appealing, but with Ayton’s salary significantly cheaper, he might be the better option of the two to pursue. He’s been a steady presence for the Suns up front, scoring at least 33 DKFP in each of their last five games.

Cameron Johnson ($2,200): With so many big names being a part of this game, a stars-and-scrubs approach is something to consider in tournament play. If you want to go that route, then Johnson could be someone to have on your radar. He’s logged exactly 19 minutes in each of the last four games, which helped him score at least 18.3 DKFP two times. He’s played well in a limited roll, averaging 9.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists across just 23 minutes per game for the season.

Fades

Mikal Bridges ($7,000): Bridges may have only scored 13 points across 42 minutes against the Hornets on Sunday, but he still scored 43 DKFP. He achieved that feat, in large part, because of his six steals. With that in mind, he doesn’t have a lot of offensive upside, which has resulted in him scoring 24.8 DKFP or fewer in each of his previous four games. He’s only averaging 27.2 DKFP for the season, so when you factor in his salary, he could end up being a disappointment.

The Outcome

This is a tough spot for the Hawks, who will be playing their sixth straight game on the road. They went 2-3 over the previous five contests, which included a 24-point loss to the Nuggets on Sunday. Look for the Suns to take advantage by pulling out a victory.

Final Score: Suns 116, Hawks 107
