SHOWDOWN STRATEGY

Captain’s Pick

Stephen Curry ($18,000 CP): The Warriors lost a close one to the Trail Blazers on Wednesday, but Curry still thrived with 57.8 DKFP. He lit up the scoreboard with 35 points in what was a favorable matchup considering the Blazers have the third-worst defensive rating in the league. This will be a tougher matchup versus the Suns, but with Curry’s 32.5 percent usage rate, he still has one of the highest floors of any player in this game.

Chris Paul ($14,100 CP): Paul had a strange stat line against the Lakers on Tuesday, scoring eight points on just four shot attempts. He did somewhat salvage the night with five rebounds and 10 assists, but his lack of involvement in the scoring department was a bit odd. For the season, he’s averaging 12.5 shot attempts per contest, so expect him to be more aggressive against the Warriors, while also contributing plenty of rebounds and assists along the way.

UTIL Plays

Draymond Green ($9,200): Don’t expect Green to produce much in the scoring column. In fact, he’s scored fewer than 10 points in 11 of his last 13 games. Still, with his ability to contribute in other areas, he scored at least 31.8 DKFP nine times during that stretch. Really, the only concern that comes with deploying him in DFS is that this is the second game of a back-to-back set for the Warriors and Green played 36 minutes Wednesday. If the Warriors fall down big early, there is a chance he spends added time on the bench in the fourth quarter.

Dario Saric ($4,400): While Paul was having a quiet scoring night, Saric was cooking against the Lakers. He scored 21 points on 17 shot attempts, marking the fourth time in his last five games that he has scored at least 13 points. During that five-game stretch, he shot 10-for-24 from behind the arc. He’s averaged at least 1.3 three-pointers in every season of his career, so his proficiency from behind the arc should come as no surprise. If he can stay hot, he could provide excellent value.

Kent Bazemore ($3,400): Kelly Oubre Jr. ($9,000) was unable to play Wednesday because of a wrist injury and his absence moved Bazemore into the starting five. He ended up logging 31 minutes in the role, scoring 26 DKFP along the way. If Oubre remains out, Bazemore could be a key target at a cheap salary.

Fades

Mikal Bridges ($7,000): The Suns have given Bridges a significant increase in playing time, which has left him to average nearly five more minutes per game than last season. However, his 15.5 percent usage rate has contributed to him scoring 28.3 DKFP or fewer in six of his last eight games. Considering his salary isn’t cheap, it might be best to allocate your funds elsewhere.

The Outcome

This is a tough spot for the Warriors, having to play the second game of a back-to-back set. They could also be shorthanded if Oubre remains out. The Warriors are also an ugly 7-11 on the road this season. Add in the Suns having won eight of their last 10 contests and the Warriors could be looking at yet another loss on the road.

Final Score: Suns 110, Warriors 103
