The idea of this fantasy baseball rankings page is to rank the top DraftKings options in each salary range, helping you make quick decisions when debating which players to roster for the upcoming main DraftKings MLB slate.

One of the best ways to find hitter value in DraftKings MLB contests is through lineup slot upgrades after pricing has been set. These lineup slot upgrades often do not happen until teams release lineups a few hours before the game locks. Check back before lock to see potential updates to the rankings.

Offense Notes

Offenses in Arizona

The Diamondbacks home stadium has a retractable roof, which means that the park effects can shift significantly from day to day due to the weather, or lack thereof. The roof is expected to be open tonight, and with temperatures north of 80 degrees, this makes for a solid hitting environment. The prices for both the Diamondbacks and Athletics are reasonable, and the pitching matchup is pretty mediocre too. Chris Bassitt ($7,400) and Madison Bumgarner ($7,900) are far from elite starting pitchers, and it makes sense that these two teams would have among the highest implied totals of Monday’s slate.

Astros Lefties

The Astros stack looks good overall with a home matchup against the Tigers and Casey Mize, but the lefties in particular seem to really stand out on this slate. Jose Altuve ($5,200) and Alex Bregman ($5,300) are priced up, but Yordan Alvarez ($4,700), Kyle Tucker ($4,100), and even Michael Brantley ($4,500) seem like three of Monday’s best values with the platoon advantage against the right-handed Mize. Mize is a decent prospect and could end up turning into a good pitcher, but he’s had enormous struggles against left-handed hitters so far in his career, allowing a .603 slugging percentage compared to just .313 against righties. Some amount of this is probably just noise, but the Astros lefties are also cheap enough that they’d make for good plays even if this were an average matchup.

Underpriced Marlins

The Marlins are coming off of a series where they had to face Jacob deGrom and the Mets, and the prices seem to be way down as a result. Monday’s matchup against the Braves and Huascar Ynoa ($6,000) is a dramatically improved one, and almost the entire lineup is now too cheap. Adam Duvall ($3,600), Corey Dickerson ($3,100), and Jesus Aguilar ($3,300) stand out the most, but there’s plenty of justification for Marlins stacks today, especially with how their savings make it easier to afford some of the high-end pitchers on the slate.
