Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for April 30

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Friday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

While the NFL Draft continues on Friday night, the DraftKings Dream Stream also rolls on with another three-game classic slate of Madden 21 sims if you can’t wait to get some on-field fantasy football opportunities. The first game of the night kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET when the Indianapolis Colts visit the San Francisco 49ers. At 8:00 p.m. ET, another team that made a QB move Thursday will be on the field as the Chicago Bears visit the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the nightcap, the New Orleans Saints visit the Denver Broncos on Madden After Dark. All six of those teams bring fascinating fantasy options, so check out my top plays listed below.

You can get all the gameplay details on the Madden Streams Information Page and dive into the full depth chart for each team.

Quarterback

Stud

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos, $6,700 — Brees has a great matchup against the Broncos’ struggling secondary, which is enough to give him the edge over Mitchell Trubisky ($7,100), who has a tough matchup against the Steelers. Brees produced 16.9 and 27.24 DKFP in his two most recent matchups with Denver and also had over 14 DKFP in five straight sims before a bad game in the rain against Miami in his most recent sim. In better weather, look for him to find plenty of space in this matchup against Denver.

Other Option — Ben Roethlisberger ($6,400)

Value

Philip Rivers, Indianapolis Colts at San Francisco 49ers, $6,100 — Another retired QB that still has Madden 21 value, Rivers has produced 19.82 and 14.32 DKFP in his two earlier matchups with the 49ers. Rivers has thrown multiple touchdowns in three of his past four games with over 18 DKFP in each of those contests. He usually relies on RB and TE, so the 49ers’ elite CBs should have less of an impact on Rivers’ production.

Other Option — Jimmy Garoppolo ($5,900)

Running Back

Stud

Raheem Mostert, San Francisco 49ers vs. Indianapolis Colts, $8,500 — Mostert has been one of the best RBs in all of Madden 21 and has produced double-digit DKFP in eight straight sims while averaging an astounding 29.6 DKFP during that run. He had over 42 DKFP in three of those sims, highlighted by an insane four-touchdown game against the Colts in which he had 177 rushing yards and 101 receiving yards on his way to 66.8 DKFP. He probably won’t reach that ceiling again, but it’s obviously a matchup he can dominate.

Other Option — Alvin Kamara ($7,600)

Value

Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints, $5,200 — Lindsay has been the third-down RB for the Broncos in Madden 21 and has at least five catches in four of his past five sims. He’s coming off a nine-catch game against the Seahawks that resulted in 16.9 DKFP. He also had nine catches in his most recent game against the Saints and finished with 18.3 DKFP.

Other Option — Tarik Cohen ($5,000), Melvin Gordon III ($4,200)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos, $7,100 — WR1s have dominated the Broncos, and Thomas has posted over 13 DKFP in each of his three contests against them, highlighted by a 10-catch, 100-yard game that resulted in 29.0 DKFP. He has over 12 DKFP in six straight sims with four touchdowns during that span, bringing his total to 50 touchdowns in 78 sims.

Other Option — JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,600)

Value

Allen Robinson II, Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers, $5,200 — The Bears and Steelers met earlier this week and Robinson snapped out of a recent funk with four catches, 129 yards and 25.9 DKFP. He has that kind of upside as Chicago’s WR1, although Trubisky’s inconsistencies have made him unreliable at times.

Parris Campbell, Indianapolis Colts at San Francisco 49ers, $4,200 — Campbell offers speed and upside as the Colts’ primary slot option and just had six catches, 62 yards and 12.2 DKFP in his most recent sim against the 49ers. He had 11.6 DKFP in their earlier contest as well, showing he can take advantage of his matchup over the middle if the 49ers use X-factor Superstar CB Richard Sherman to lock up T.Y. Hilton ($6,000) on the outside.

Other Options — Emmanuel Sanders ($5,400), Kendrick Bourne ($5,000), Tre’Quan Smith ($3,900)

Tight End

Stud

Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Chicago Bears, $5,400 — Earlier this week, Ebron had seven catches for 65 yards and 13.5 DKFP against the Bears, extending his streak to five straight games with double-digit DKFP. He is averaging 4.6 catches for 50.1 yards per sim and has scored 28 touchdowns in 70 games.

Other Options — George Kittle ($5,600), Jared Cook ($5,200)

Value

Trey Burton, Indianapolis Colts at San Francisco 49ers, $4,900 — Burton had been getting enough usage to be an elite TE play except for in the red zone until recently, when he went on a bit of a scoring binge, scoring four touchdowns in his past five sims. In his 65 sims as TE1, he has averaged 4.9 catches for 53.2 yards while scoring 23 touchdowns.

Other Option — Noah Fant ($4,000)

DST

Stud

Steelers DST vs. Chicago Bears, $3,100 — Trubisky has had turnover issues in Madden 21, although the Steelers managed just 2.0 DKFP against him earlier this week. In their 70 sims, they have typically been more productive, averaging 6.2 DKFP on 142 sacks, 59 takeaways and 11 defensive touchdowns. Despite their uninspiring recent result in this same matchup, I think they have the most upside of any DST on the board.

Value

Saints DST at Denver Broncos, $2,800 — The Saints’ defense produced 9.0, 12.0 and 7.0 DKFP in their three earlier meetings with Denver, limiting Drew Lock ($5,400) and the Broncos’ offense to under 10 points in each meeting. The Saints only have 28 takeaways in their 78 sims but do usually limit scoring and can also pile up sacks with 160 sacks in their 78 sims.
