Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for May 26

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Wednesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The first four sims of this wild weather Wednesday will wrap up Week 1 of the new Madden simulated season, and we’ll get Week 2 underway as part of the three-game featured classic slate on the DraftKings Dream Stream. That classic slate kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET with the Monday Night Football matchup from Week 1, the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Las Vegas Raiders. At 8:00 p.m. ET, the New York Giants and Washington Football Team start the second week of the sim season with a snow game in D.C., and we close out the night with Madden After Dark featuring the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Philadelphia Eagles in a game that will be impacted by a rainstorm.

You can find the gameplay details for all the sims and the upcoming schedule on the Madden Streams Information Page and dive into the full depth chart for each team.

Quarterback

Stud

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens at Las Vegas Raiders, $8,400 — The weather hasn’t slowed down Jackson at all in these sims, but he won’t even have to worry about that since this game will be indoors against the Raiders. He should be able to run all over Vegas’ defense and could even improve on his impressive average of 105.2 rushing yards per sim over 84 contests. He has over 30 DKFP in three straight games coming into this matchup and also had over 28 DKFP in each of his two earlier contests against the Raiders.

Other Option — Carson Wentz ($7,100)

Value

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles, $5,800 — Jimmy G was fine in the 49ers’ Week 1 win over the Lions, posting 15.12 DKFP. He is averaging 15.0 DKFP per sim in Madden 21 as a steady producer even though he is nowhere near the level of Jackson. However, I think there’s more potential for points here than Washington-New York in the snow. However, playing anyone instead of Jackson is an extremely high-risk way to differentiate your lineup, especially given the options available on this slate.

Other Option — Daniel Jones ($6,300)

Running Back

Stud

Raheem Mostert, San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles, $7,600 — Mostert opened the new season with a boom, dropping 216 rushing yards, three touchdowns and 48.2 DKFP against the Lions. He now has over 17 DKFP in seven of his past eight games and is averaging 21.8 DKFP per sim with 82 total touchdowns in 79 contests in Madden 21. Four of those sims have been against the Eagles, and Mostert has posted 24.1, 13.0, 12.6 and 19.7 DKFP. He continues to have a very high ceiling and remains low-risk as well since the 49ers build their entire gameplan around him, especially in rain games like this one.

Other Option — Miles Sanders ($7,000)

Value

J.D. McKissic, Washington Football Team vs. New York Giants, $6,900 — McKissic is an extremely reliable play as well since he gets so much work out of the backfield as a receiver in these sims. He is averaging 4.3 catches for 29.5 yards per sim in addition to his 52.7 rushing yards, and he has scored 37 touchdowns. He only had 8.0 DKFP in his most recent matchup with the Giants but posted 13.7, 28.7 and 26.1 DKFP in his other three games since taking over his current role. He is more expensive than most value plays I list here, but I think it makes more sense to pay up for a sure-thing RB on this weather slate and save with some lower-priced WRs.

Other Option — J.K. Dobbins ($5,000), Jalen Richard ($4,100)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Tyrell Williams, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Baltimore Ravens, $5,500 — You can avoid the weather by targeting the early game, but since Jackson runs so much his receivers can be inconsistent. The Raiders offer good upside, though, and their WR1 is also fairly affordable. Williams has caught 29 touchdowns in his 75 sims including four scores over his past four sims, averaging 15.5 DKFP over that stretch. He had at least four catches in each of his previous matchups with the Ravens as well, producing 14.5 and 9.1 DKFP in those contests.

Other Options — DeSean Jackson ($6,200), Henry Ruggs III ($5,400)

Value

Marquise Goodwin, Philadelphia Eagles vs. San Francisco 49ers, $5,100 — Goodwin will take on his former team from his role as the Eagles’ WR3 and primary slot option. His 97 speed rating gives him an extremely high ceiling and he has posted multiple catches in each of his four previous meetings with San Francisco, averaging 8.8 DKFP in those contests.

Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens at Las Vegas Raiders, $4,000 — Brown is the Ravens’ WR1 but has been very inconsistent, causing his salary to plummet all the way to $4K. He did have a touchdown in each of his two previous sims against the Raiders, posting 16.3 and 7.6 DKFP. If Jackson runs more than throws, Brown can vanish, but he also brings a very high ceiling for a player who only costs $4K, sits on top of the depth chart and avoids any weather concerns.

Other Options — Steven Sims Jr. ($4,900), Darius Slayton ($4,600), Kendrick Bourne ($4,300)

Tight End

Stud

Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles vs. San Francisco 49ers, $5,700 — Ertz only had 4.2 DKFP in the Eagles’ Week 1 loss but has fared much better in the past against the 49ers, producing 29.6, 9.8, 36.7 and 9.5 DKFP in their previous four meetings. That 36.7-DKFP performance included 13 catches, 147 yards and a touchdown. While he doesn’t usually hit that ceiling, he is averaging 5.4 catches for 59.1 yards per sim, making him an elite TE on any slate, including this well-stocked classic contest.

Other Options — George Kittle ($5,900), Darren Waller ($5,300)

Value

Jeremy Sprinkle, Washington Football Team vs. New York Giants, $4,400 — Sprinkle is the cheapest starting TE on this slate and is still averaging over 10 DKFP per sim. He has hauled in 29 touchdowns in his 79 contests, averaging 4.0 catches for 44.7 yards per game. He has produced over 12 DKFP in five of his six earlier meetings with New York, averaging 16.4 DKFP per sim against the Giants. He’s a great bargain at TE and my favorite play under $4.5K at any position.

DST

Stud

Washington Football Team DST vs. New York Giants, $3,000 — No other DST on this slate has been close to Washington's level. In 81 sims, the Football Team has 171 sacks and 59 takeaways and has done a fantastic job limiting opponent scoring. Washington’s stellar play has resulted in 6.1 DKFP per sim and should only get a boost in the snow against the Giants’ inconsistent offense.

Value

49ers DST at Philadelphia Eagles, $2,700 — The 49ers have a great list of playmakers on defense as well, but they haven’t had quite as many big plays. In 79 sims, they have 174 sacks but only 35 takeaways. They did have three sacks and 7.0 DKFP in their most recent meeting with the Eagles and had 6.0 DKFP against the Lions in their Week 1 win.
