Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for May 3

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The first work week of the new month gets underway with a full day of six Madden 21 sims on the DraftKings Dream Stream this Monday. The three-game featured classic slate kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET, when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Denver Broncos. Another AFC matchup takes the spotlight in primetime as the Cincinnati Bengals host the Buffalo Bills, and the day wraps up with a Madden After Dark matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Miami Dolphins. There are plenty of interesting options to consider for your fantasy roster, and you can check out my favorite plays listed below.

You can get all the gameplay details on the Madden Streams Information Page and dive into the full depth chart for each team.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals, $7,100 — Allen hasn’t been quite consistently productive enough to be an elite play, but he’s definitely the best QB to pay up for on this slate due to his dual-threat potential. He threw a touchdown and ran for another score on his way to 21.28 DKFP vs. Washington in his most recent sim, and he has over 17 DKFP in three straight sims and six of his past nine. Allen should be able to find success vs. the Bengals and is likely to outproduce his average of 19.8 DKFP on 160.2 passing yards and 64.9 rushing yards.

Other Option — Joe Burrow ($6,200)

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams at Miami Dolphins, $5,900 — Goff has faced the Dolphins three times, producing 15.4, 30 and 19.4 DKFP in those three contests. He had exactly 400 yards and three touchdowns in that 30-point performance and topped 300 yards in another one of those games, as well. He has had a few brutal performances in Madden 21 but has thrown multiple touchdowns in four of his past five games, and he should deliver value on this sub-$6K salary vs. the Dolphins.

Other Option — Tua Tagovailoa ($6,000)

Running Back

Devin Singletary, Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals, $6,000 — The Bengals have been beatable on the ground, and Singletary is both the RB1 and third-down back for the Bills. He has averaged 2.6 catches for 17 yards in addition to his 52.7 rushing yards per game, and he has at least three catches in four of his past five games. He should be able to post a solid number if he continues to see consistent work in this matchup.

Other Option — Matt Breida ($6,800)

Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos, $5,100 — Four of the six teams on this slate use a different third-down RB than their RB1, and Samuels has been one of the best, averaging 4.1 catches for 30.2 yards per contest and finding the end zone seven times in his 71 sims. He had four catches in each of his two previous games vs. Denver, posting 9.9 and 6.7 DKFP.

Other Options — Phillip Lindsay ($5,700), Giovani Bernard ($5,400)

Wide Receiver

JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos, $6,600 — The Broncos have been one of the most generous secondaries in Madden 21, especially to opposing WR1s that play out of the slot like Smith-Schuster. In their two earlier meetings, Smith-Schuster had 15.8 and 12.6 DKFP, despite not getting into the end zone. He totaled 11 catches in those two contests and has averaged 5.2 catches for 65.8 yards per sim overall while scoring a total of 30 touchdowns in 71 games.

Other Option — Stefon Diggs ($6,700), John Ross III ($6,300)

Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams at Miami Dolphins, $5,600 — Woods has been the Rams’ most productive receiver, averaging 13.6 DKFP on 4.8 catches for 60.4 yards per game. He should have a favorable matchup on the outside vs. Miami, who he beat for 14.9 and 19.6 DKFP in two of their three previous matchups.

Jakeem Grant, Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Rams, $3,400 — Grant’s role as the WR3 should keep him out of a head-to-head matchup with X-factor Superstar CB Jalen Ramsey and give him a speed advantage against the Rams’ depth CBs. Grant oozes big-play ability due to his 95 speed rating and has scored 21 touchdowns in 69 sims while averaging 3.1 catches for 31.8 yards per game. He’s incredibly affordable, so take advantage of this bargain salary.

Other Options — A.J. Green ($4,800), Jerry Jeudy ($4,200), KJ Hamler ($4,000)

Tight End

Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Rams, $5,000 — Gesicki has been another favorite target in Miami’s offense, averaging 4.5 catches for 50.6 yards per sim. He had 12.9, 15.2 and 9.7 DKFP in his past three meetings vs. the Rams, who have been beatable against TEs down the middle of the field, which is where Gesicki does most of his work.

Other Options — Eric Ebron ($5,400), Tyler Higbee ($4,500)

C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Buffalo Bills, $3,400 — The Bills’ secondary is elite on the outside but struggles to cover TEs, so it’s shocking to see Uzomah’s salary this low. He has averaged 4.0 catches for 41.1 yards per sim and scored 15 touchdowns. He is almost always involved in the Bengals’ offense and is the most reliable value play at any position under $3.5K.

Other Option — Noah Fant ($4,200)

Steelers DST vs. Denver Broncos, $3,200 — The Steelers have one of the best DSTs in all of Madden 21 and also have a great matchup against Drew Lock ($5,400), who has been one of the worst QBs. Pittsburgh has totaled 146 sacks and 60 takeaways in their 71 sims and scored 11 defensive touchdowns.

Rams DST at Miami Dolphins, $2,900 — The Rams’ defense features Superstar X-factors Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald, who serve as the anchors for a solid DST. The Rams have forced 34 turnovers and totaled 108 sacks in their 68 sims, while typically doing a good job limiting their opponent's scoring output, as well. They’re a low-risk play under $3K against Tagovailoa.
