Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for June 15

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Tuesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The DraftKings Dream Stream has six more games on tap this Tuesday as we pass the halfway point in the current Madden simulated season. The featured classic contest includes the second half of the day’s schedule, kicking off at 6:00 p.m. ET with a matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars. At 8:00 p.m. ET in primetime, we get another matchup from virtual Florida, where the Miami Dolphins welcome in the Houston Texans. In the final game of the night, the Las Vegas Raiders roll into the Big Apple for a Madden After Dark matchup against the New York Giants.

You can follow along with the standings as the season continues and check out the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins, $8,000 — The Dolphins haven’t had any answers for Watson in their past meetings, as the Houston QB has posted over 22 DKFP in all three contests, averaging 24.5 DKFP per contest. That’s on par with his 23.8 DKFP per sim average over his 87 sims in Madden 21 in which he has generated 196 passing yards and 71.4 rushing yards per sim while scoring a total of 164 touchdowns. Watson’s dual-threat ability has allowed him to post over 28 DKFP in four straight sims and should help him to stay hot against Miami in this matchup.

Other Option — Daniel Jones ($6,200)

Value

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans, $5,800 — Despite Watson’s great performances, the Texans have underperformed as a team, largely due to their struggling pass defense. Tua has had his ups and downs as a rookie QB in Madden 21 but has shown a high ceiling at times, including posting 28.62 DKFP in one of his three earlier matchups with the Texans and over 16 DKFP in each of those games. He also has over 13 DKFP in six straight sims with a pair of games over 20 DKFP. If he can have that kind of success in this very favorable matchup, his salary under $6K can unlock the rest of the top players at other positions.

Running Back

Stud

Saquon Barkley, New York Giants vs. Las Vegas Raiders, $7,400 — Barkley has been steady throughout Madden 21 with consistent receiving work giving him a high floor, and he also has flashed a high ceiling with some big games during the sim season. He had 120 rushing yards and 27.4 DKFP in a win over Dallas and has over 15 DKFP in four of his past six. He should be in a good spot to post another big total since the Raiders’ defense has low ratings across the board.

Other Options — Matt Breida ($6,700), Devin Singletary ($6,000)

Value

Jalen Richard, Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants, $4,000 — On the other side of the sim, the Giants’ defense has also struggled which could set up some good games for the Raiders’ offense. Richard has been a key contributor as the third-down back, averaging 7.7 DKFP on 3.1 catches for 22.3 yards per game in addition to 9.9 yards on the ground. He has scored 12 rushing touchdowns and seven receiving touchdowns and has put up over 14 DKFP in two of his past five sims since he had a touchdown in each of those two matchups.

Other Options — Josh Jacobs ($4,800), Duke Johnson ($3,900)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins, $6,300 — Cooks can be boom or bust due to Watson’s tendency to rely on the rushing game in some contests, but when the Texans do throw the ball, Cooks usually puts up big numbers. He has found the end zone in three of their past four sims and has over 14 DKFP in five straight. He had back-to-back games with over 100 yards and 25 DKFP against the Patriots and Colts earlier in this sim season and could be around those numbers again since he has feasted on the Dolphins’ secondary, posting 27.4 and 13.1 DKFP in their two most recent meetings. He isn’t the most stable WR1 option, but he does bring a very high ceiling to this very favorable spot.

Other Options — Henry Ruggs III ($5,900), DeVante Parker ($5,400)

Value

Jakeem Grant, Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans, $4,700 — Grant has had success as the Dolphins’ WR3 and primary slot receiver. He has posted at least four catches, over 75 yards and over 15 DKFP in four straight sims. He also had 11.2 DKFP in his most recent matchup with the Texans, so the speedster could reach his high ceiling in this rematch Tuesday night.

Darius Slayton, New York Giants vs. Las Vegas Raiders, $4,600 — Slayton has four catches or more in four straight sims with four touchdowns over that span as well. He had 31.1 DKFP against Dallas to start that run of big games and brings that kind of upside to this favorable matchup against Vegas as well.

Other Options — Dede Westbrook ($5,100), Chris Conley ($4,800), Albert Wilson ($3,500)

Tight End

Stud

Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders at New York Giants, $5,400 — Waller and Evan Engram ($5,700) have very similar stats, salaries and matchups as they go head-to-head in the late game. I’m leaning towards Waller since he has a little higher speed rating and gets more consistent attention in his team’s offense. He has over 12 DKFP in four of his past six sims after finishing with seven catches against the Eagles in his most recent sim.

Other Option — Evan Engram ($5,700), Mike Gesicki ($4,900)

Value

Tyler Eifert, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills, $4,200 — Eifert is still a free agent in real life but continues to start for the Jags in simland. On this slate, he has a very favorable matchup against the Bills, who force teams to rely on their TE more due to their outstanding CB play. Eifert posted 9.3 DKFP in his most recent meeting with Buffalo after lighting them up for 30.7 DKFP earlier in Madden 21. He’s a high-floor, high-ceiling play who also makes a great flex option if you pay up for Waller or Engram at TE.

DST

Stud

Giants DST vs. Las Vegas Raiders, $3,100 — The Giants are not a defense I highlight often, but they do have a good matchup against Vegas on this slate. They had posted three straight games with four DKFP or more before getting beat up by the Chiefs in their most recent sim. They have had three games with double-digit DKFP this sim season and now have 146 sacks and 36 takeaways in 85 sims.

Value

Texans DST at Miami Dolphins, $2,700 — The Texans are the cheapest DST available on this slate, but they have averaged 4.2 DKFP per sim, which is actually more than the Giants’ DST over the long haul of Madden 21. Houston’s defense gives up lots of points but also has made big plays with 160 sacks and 48 takeaways in 87 sims. Their totals are better than New York’s, but they haven’t been as good as the Giants have been lately.
