Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for June 16

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Wednesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

It’s another wild weather Wednesday on the DraftKings Dream Stream as the Madden simulated season marches on, but there’s an interesting twist added to this three-game featured classic slate. One of the three games doesn’t have any weather since the Tennessee Titans will visit the Los Angeles Rams indoors at 6:00 p.m. ET. At 8:00 p.m. ET in the snow, the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Chicago Bears, and we wrap up the day of Madden 21 sims with a game in the rain between the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins.

You can follow along with the standings as the season continues and check out the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins, $9,500 — The Ravens lost their most recent sim, and Jackson had only 8.92 DKFP, well below his average of 26.6 DKFP. While he does have bust games like that from time to time, he brings the highest ceiling of any player in Madden 21 and has averaged 104.1 rushing yards to go with 148.7 passing yards per sim. He had 26.96 and 32.22 DKFP in his two previous meetings with the Dolphins, surpassing 100 rushing yards in each contest. He should be able to bounce back just fine and use the rain to his advantage since it will cause defenders to be trying to take down the elusive QB while dealing with uncertain footing.

Other Option — Mitchell Trubisky ($7,200)

Value

Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams, $6,100 — You can avoid the weather by rolling with Tannehill, although he will have to deal with Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. In the most recent Madden 21 meeting between these teams, that was no problem for Tannehill, who lit them up for 255 yards, four touchdowns and 26.4 DKFP. He tends to be a little inconsistent since Derrick Henry ($7,700) often carries the load for Tennessee, but Tannehill brings enough upside to be the top cheap QB on the slate, especially since he’ll be in a climate-controlled environment.

Other Option — Tua Tagovailoa ($5,800)

Running Back

Stud

Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams, $7,700 — Henry has run for five touchdowns over his past three games, posting 37, 24.1 and 27.2 DKFP in three straight wins that have moved Tennessee to the top of their division. Henry had only 3.5 DKFP in that most recent game against the Rams but did post 17.2 DKFP in their first Madden 21 contest. The matchup makes him a little less of a lock, but he usually avoids being a total bust since he adds 3.3 catches for 23.1 receiving yards to his 83.7 rushing yards per game average.

Other Options — Matt Breida ($6,500)

Value

Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Chicago Bears, $4,900 — As the Steelers’ third-down back, Samuels has at least five catches in five straight sims with over 9.0 DKFP in four of those five games, despite not finding the end zone. With the snow adding difficulty to downfield passing, he should get plenty of check-down work against the Bears, who he has multiple catches against in three of their four previous meetings.

Other Options — Tarik Cohen ($4,800), J.K. Dobbins ($4,500)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams vs. Tennessee Titans, $5,900 — Woods has a favorable matchup indoors against the Titans, whose secondary has given up big games in Madden 21. Woods had 13.3 and 12.3 DKFP in their two previous contests and has posted double-digit DKFP in five of his past seven contests. He has a very high ceiling if he is the focus of the Rams’ passing game, and I love his upside from under $6K.

Other Options — JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,900), DeVante Parker ($5,500)

Value

Jakeem Grant, Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens, $4,600 — Grant had another big game yesterday against the Texans, but he did most of his production on the ground with his first rushing touchdown in 85 sims on the way to 14.9 DKFP. In four straight sims prior to that game, Grant had posted at least four catches, over 75 yards and over 15 DKFP. He’s a constant big-play threat and posted 13.6 and 16.6 DKFP in his two earlier meetings with the Ravens.

Adam Humphries, Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams, $3,300 — Humphries should avoid matching up against Jalen Ramsey since he works out of the slot as the Titans’ WR3. He was shut out in one of his earlier meetings with the Rams but posted five catches, 45 yards and 15.8 DKFP in his other game against them, showing he has very nice upside for a player barely priced over the minimum.

Other Options — Josh Reynolds ($5,400), Marquise Brown ($4,800), James Washington ($3,800)

Tight End

Stud

Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Chicago Bears, $5,500 — Ebron has been one of the best TEs in all of Madden 21 and seems to especially thrive in snow games, when Ben Roethlisberger ($6,300) passes more to the middle of the field. Ebron had nine catches for 95 yards and 18.5 DKFP against the Browns in his most recent sim and posted 10.4, 21.2, 13.5 and 4.1 DKFP in his four earlier contests against the Bears. He has 35 touchdowns in 86 sims while averaging 4.9 catches for 52.9 yards per game.

Other Option — Tyler Higbee ($4,700)

Value

Jonnu Smith, Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams, $4,600 — There are four solid TEs in play on this slate, and the cheapest of the four is Smith, who is averaging 11.3 DKFP on 4.5 catches for 48.6 yards per sim. He had four catches, a touchdown and 16.8 DKFP against the Rams in their most recent meeting and brings similar upside to the rematch Wednesday.

Other Option — Jimmy Graham ($3,900)

DST

Stud

Steelers DST vs. Chicago Bears, $3,000 — The Steelers are averaging 6.2 DKFP per sim which is over a point more per game than the two defenses priced ahead of them on this slate. In their 86 sims, they have forced 75 turnovers, scored 13 defensive touchdowns and accumulated 178 sacks. Trubisky has been turnover-prone, so the Steelers have a high ceiling.

Value

Titans DST at Los Angeles Rams, $2,900 — The Titans’ secondary has struggled, but the DST has produced 193 sacks in 90 sims. That strong pass rush has also helped the Titans create 64 turnovers and 10 defensive touchdowns. In its most recent sim, Tennessee’s defense had 15 DKFP against the Colts and posted 11.0 and 6.0 DKFP against the Rams earlier in these Madden 21 sims.
