Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for June 7

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

On Monday, the sixth week of the Madden simulated season gets underway on the DraftKings Dream Stream. There will be just one matchup to close out Week 5 and then five games to start the sixth round of action. The featured classic contest highlights three of those matchups, getting underway at 6:00 p.m. ET when the Carolina Panthers host the Minnesota Vikings. At 8:00 p.m. ET in primetime, the Kansas City Chiefs are on the classic slate for the second straight night as they visit the Washington Football Team, and then this version of Monday Night Football wraps up with the Los Angeles Rams heading to the virtual Big Apple to take on the New York Giants, who are also on the main slate for a second straight day after beating the Cowboys last night, 34-31.

You can keep up with the standings as the season continues and check out the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs at Washington Football Team, $7,900 — The Chiefs lost on Sunday night to the Bills despite 30.76 DKFP from Mahomes, who has over 23 DKFP in four of his five games this season. Mahomes has been the best passer in all of Madden 21, averaging 287 passing yards per sim and totaling 227 passing scores in 94 contests (2.4 touchdowns per game). He does have a tough matchup against Washington on this slate, but the Chiefs have so many options that they should be able to overwhelm Washington’s secondary, which doesn’t have much depth. Mahomes has over 19 DKFP in eight straight, making him a reliable play along with his high ceiling. He’s almost a must-play option on this slate even though he’s so pricey since he’s so significantly better than the other QBs available.

Value

Daniel Jones, New York Giants vs. Los Angles Rams, $6,000 — Jones threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns against Dallas in the Giants’ 34-31 win on Sunday night and finished with an impressive 27.98 DKFP. He will have a much tougher matchup against the Rams, who held him to 9.2 and 11.72 DKFP in their first two sim meetings in Madden 21. Still, Jones is the best cheap play since he brings that nice ceiling and has multiple touchdowns tosses and over 15 DKFP in four straight contests. Aside from Mahomes, the QBs are all very volatile on this slate but at least Jones brings a high ceiling.

Other Option — Teddy Bridgewater ($6,200), Dwayne Haskins Jr. ($5,500)

Running Back

Stud

Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers, $8,100 — Cook had 34.8 DKFP against the Lions with 108 rushing yards, 40 receiving yards, five catches and two touchdowns in his most recent sim and has posted at least 20 DKFP in four of his five games this season. In his 82 sims in Madden 21, he has scored an astounding 90 touchdowns and is averaging 82.4 rushing yards, 34.8 receiving yards and 4.3 catches per contest. Like Mahomes at QB, he’s pricey but virtually a must-own due to his ceiling.

Other Option — Saquon Barkley ($7,400)

Value

J.D. McKissic, Washington Football Team at Kansas City Chiefs, $6,400 — McKissic should be in for a busy night as a pass-catcher if Washington has to go pass-heavy to try and keep up with K.C. McKissic has averaged 4.3 catches for 29.1 receiving yards per sim and has at least 12 DKFP in eight straight. Without any ultra-cheap timeshare options, there isn’t a lot of salary relief at RB, but McKissic is a solid and reliable play at this salary.

Other Options — Darrell Henderson Jr. ($4,900)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs at Washington Football Team, $8,000 — Hill scored three more touchdowns Sunday night on his way to 34.3 DKFP and now has 89 touchdowns in 94 sims. He has been the best WR in all of Madden 21 and is now averaging 6.3 catches for 95.2 yards per sim. If he gets six catches in this contest, he will reach 600 total receptions. The Cheetah has over 19 DKFP in seven of his past eight games and should run wild once again in this matchup with Washington.

Other Options — Robert Woods ($6,100), Terry McLaurin ($5,400)

Value

Curtis Samuel, Carolina Panthers vs. Minnesota Vikings, $4,600 — Samuel has at least three catches in 14 straight sims and went for double-digit DKFP for seven straight sims before a few down games recently. He had 10.6 DKFP during that stretch when he faced the Vikings and is a reliable play with a high ceiling in this rematch.

Darius Slayton, New York Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams, $4,100 — Slayton went off for 111 yards, two touchdowns and 31.1 DKFP when I highlighted him last night against the Cowboys, so I’m going back to the well in this matchup against the Rams. The Giants’ WR3 has had some big games for a play this cheap and is regularly involved, averaging 2.8 catches for 45.9 yards per sim. He also had 20.4 DKFP in one of his two previous matchups with the Rams.

Other Options — Sterling Shepard ($4,900), Tajae Sharpe ($4,000), Demarcus Robinson ($3,800)

Tight End

Stud

Evan Engram, New York Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams, $5,100 — With the Chiefs in a tougher matchup for TE, Engram seems to make a better per-dollar play than Travis Kelce ($6,000) on this slate, especially since he had 10 catches and 19.1 DKFP in his recent matchup with the Rams. Engram has over 20 DKFP in two straight sims coming into this rematch with at least 17 DKFP in six of his past eight and an average of 16.7 DKFP over that span.

Other Option — Travis Kelce ($6,000)

Value

Jeremy Sprinkle, Washington Football Team vs. Kansas City Chiefs, $3,900 — Sprinkle is a solid play under $4K, which you may need to consider as a FLEX or TE play if you pay up in other roster spots. He has averaged 3.9 catches for 44.3 yards per sim and typically gets high volume when Washington goes pass-heavy.

Other Option — Tyler Higbee ($4,500)

DST

Stud

Washington Football Team DST vs. Kansas City Chiefs, $2,900 — Washington will likely give up points, but they should make some big plays against the Chiefs as well. In 85 sims, the defense has forced 64 turnovers while piling up an impressive 178 sacks to go with 13 defensive touchdowns.

Value

Panthers DST vs. Minnesota Vikings, $2,700 — The Panthers haven’t had as many big plays as Washington, but they have put up good results lately with at least 5.0 DKFP in four straight sims. They have 45 takeaways and 149 sacks in 82 sims and posted four sacks and 4.0 DKFP against the Vikings in their recent meeting.
