The second half of the six-game schedule makes up the featured classic slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET with a value-packed matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions. Quarterback
Stud
Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals, $6,800 — Mayfield has a very nice matchup against the Cardinals, who he torched for 32.2 DKFP and 18.48 DKFP in their previous meetings in Madden 21. Mayfield can be volatile but has big-play threats at WR, which gives him a high ceiling. He has over 20 DKFP in four of his past six games with his two disappointing showings coming against the good defenses of the Chargers and Bears. He usually feasts on lesser defenses like the Cardinals, though, so he’s in a good bounce-back spot at home, where he has averaged 18.9 DKFP in 45 sims.
Other Options — Kyler Murray ($7,000), Dak Prescott ($6,900)
Value
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions, $6,400 — Burrow also has good upside in a favorable matchup since he’ll be facing the Lions. Detroit has been one of the worst defenses in Madden 21, and Burrow has posted 19.02, 26.18, 25.8, 27.42, 27.42 and 35.38 DKFP in their past matchups. He has three games this season with over 20 DKFP sandwiched between a pair of awful showings. He should be set up to bounce back from a down game against the Packers and has very low risk along with a very high ceiling for a QB under $6.5K.
Other Option — Cam Newton ($6,500)

Running Back
Stud
Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys at New England Patriots, $7,200 — In the most recent meeting of these two teams, Zeke truly feasted with 169 yards, four touchdowns and 43.9 DKFP. He also had over 15 DKFP in their two previous meetings and has produced over 14 DKFP in three of his past four contests. Since the Patriots have a very strong secondary, teams often rely heavily on the run game against them and RBs typically put up good pass-catching numbers as well.
Other Option — Kenyan Drake ($6,700)
Value
D’Andre Swift, Detroit Lions vs. Cincinnati Bengals, $4,300 — The two receiving backs in the early game are both good value options, but Swift is $700 cheaper than Gio Bernard ($5,000), so I’ll take the discount. Swift has been solid but not spectacular for the Lions in this current season but tore up the Bengals for 17.3, 9.7, 4.7, 24.4, 5.2 and 16.4 DKFP in their earlier meetings. If he hits for over 15 DKFP from this price point, he’ll be the key to unlocking the salary needed to stack stars in other spots.
Other Options — Gio Bernard ($5,000)
Wide Receiver
Stud
John Ross III, Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions, $5,600 — Ross is a matchup problem for many secondaries due to his 96 speed rating, but he has been especially effective against Detroit, posting 12, 18.4, 28.4, 20.3, 29.3 and 7.0 DKFP in his previous six games against the Lions. He also had two big games on the road earlier this season with 23.1 DKFP in Chicago and 26.9 DKFP in Pittsburgh. His big-play potential always makes it a possibility that he could break any slate, especially in this matchup.
Other Options — Odell Beckham Jr. ($6,400), Marvin Jones Jr. ($5,700)
Value
Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals, $5,300 — Landry has been rolling with at least three catches in six straight sims and an average of 6.0 catches for 17.18 DKFP over his five games in this season. He has also had success against the Cardinals as a mismatch out of the slot, posting 11.3 and 12.2 DKFP in their two previous matchups in Madden 21.
Danny Amendola, Detroit Lions vs. Cincinnati Bengals, $4,200 — Since neither side can play defense well, these Lions-Bengals matchups have been great to target in the past, so let’s go back to that matchup again for our cheapest value WR. Amendola has averaged 3.6 catches for 41.3 yards per sim in his 81 contests as the Lions’ WR3 and has posted over 15 DKFP in two of his past three meetings with Cincinnati.
Other Options — Michael Gallup ($5,400), Julian Edelman ($4,900), Larry Fitzgerald ($3,900)

Tight End
Stud
Devin Asiasi, New England Patriots vs. Dallas Cowboys, $4,600 — Asiasi has been a consistent part of the Patriots’ offense in these Madden sims and thrived in the very TE-friendly playbook. Asiasi had a big game with 26.8 DKFP two sims ago against Tampa but struggled with just 2.9 DKFP against Houston in his most recent contest. He can be volatile like that but should find room to work against a beatable Dallas defense that he has had three catches against in each of their three previous meetings.
Other Option — T.J. Hockenson ($5,200)
Value
C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions, $4,000 — The target share for the Bengals’ WRs has fluctuated from game to game, but Burrow always seems to get his TE1 involved, making Uzomah a reliable play at only $4K with a great ceiling. He has over 7.5 DKFP in seven of his past eight games and has posted over that number in each of his games against the Lions as well, including a pair of games over 20 DKFP, showing he also provides a good ceiling.
Other Option — Austin Hooper ($4,500)
DST
Stud
Patriots DST vs. Dallas Cowboys, $3,100 — Despite the fact that they were trampled by Zeke in their most recent meeting with Dallas, I like the Pats’ defense in this matchup since they have forced 85 turnovers in 85 sims while stacking up 141 sacks. They have multiple sacks in three of their past four games and are always a threat for a defensive touchdown with 15 in their 85 sims.
Value
Browns DST vs. Arizona Cardinals, $3,000 — Kyler Murray ($7,000) has struggled lately with under 13 DKFP in three straight, and he can be turnover-prone when he’s trying to do too much. The Browns returned a Murray fumble for a late TD on their way to 8.0 DKFP in their most recent matchup with Arizona and have 10 sacks in their five games this season. They haven’t had as many big plays as the Patriots but are a solid pivot due to their matchup.
