Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for July 19

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Another full week of Madden sims on the DraftKings Dream Stream starts this Monday with a six-sim schedule, highlighted by the featured classic slate, which kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET. The first matchup on the three-game slate is the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the Miami Dolphins, followed at 8:00 p.m. ET by the Houston Texans welcoming in the Carolina Panthers for a primetime contest. The final game of the night should be a nice matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Tennessee Titans from virtual Nashville.

As you build your lineups, be sure to consider the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims, along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks at Tennessee Titans, $7,400 — Just like in the championship game for the recent Madden Simulated Season, Wilson and Deshaun Watson ($7,600) are both dynamic QB options to consider building around on this slate. I’ll give Wilson the slight edge once again, though, based on his consistency. He outplayed Watson in the championship game with 21.6 DKFP to Watson’s 13.6 DKFP and is on a nice roll with over 21 DKFP in four of his past five sims. Wilson also has an outstanding track record against Tennessee with 24.3, 19.8, 35.12, 27.44, 28.42 and 28.1 DKFP in their previous six meetings in Madden 21.

Other Option — Deshaun Watson ($7,600)

Value

Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans, $5,800 — If you decide to pass on the elite QBs and stock up on stars in other roster spots, Bridgewater is a solid cheap play who gets a nice matchup against the Texans’ beatable defensive secondary. Bridgewater has thrown two touchdown passes in each of his two most recent sims and finished with 18.16 and 19.76 DKFP. He has not had a ton of success against Houston in their past matchups, but he’ll be a nice value play if he stays around that level of production from his salary under $6K.

Other Option — Ryan Tannehill ($5,600)

Running Back

Stud

Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans vs. Seattle Seahawks, $8,400 — While the Seahawks’ defense makes big plays (discussed below), they have given up plenty of points and yards as well in Madden 21. Henry should be able to bounce back against them after back-to-back down games against Houston. In his 100 Madden 21 sims, Henry has scored 100 touchdowns while averaging 3.2 catches for 22.1 yards per game in addition to his 83.1 rushing yards per contest. Henry had three touchdowns and 41.5 DKFP in his most recent matchup with Seattle and has averaged 22.2 DKFP in their six previous meetings in Madden 21.

Other Options — Christian McCaffrey ($8,100), Matt Breida ($6,800)

Value

Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins, $5,200 — Three teams on this slate use RB timeshares, and Samuels is my favorite play of the six RBs that split carries since he gets consistent work as the Steelers’ primary passing-down option. He has multiple catches in eight straight sims and is averaging 4.0 catches for 26.7 yards per sim overall. He had right around that average in his first matchup with Miami, finishing with 6.7 DKFP.

Other Option — Duke Johnson ($4,700), Carlos Hyde ($4,300)

Wide Receiver

Stud

DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, $6,200 — Parker has been the most consistent of the WR1s on this slate lately, and his matchup against Pittsburgh is decent. Parker had 119 yards and 19.9 DKFP on five catches against the Steelers in their first Madden 21 meeting, and he has double-digit DKFP in seven of his nine most recent sims. He has two monster games against the Jets during that stretch as well with 35.9 DFKP on 12 catches for 209 yards and eight catches for 149 yards and a touchdown on his way to 31.9 DKFP.

Other Option — JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,700), DJ Moore ($5,500)

Value

Will Fuller V, Houston Texans vs. Carolina Panthers, $4,900 — The Texans’ passing game is a hard one to trust since Watson can sometimes throw less and scramble more. When he does air it out, though, Fuller brings good upside with his big-play ability due to his 95 speed rating. Fuller has scored a touchdown in four of his previous five games against Carolina and has 38 touchdowns in 96 sims overall while averaging 10.5 DKFP on 3.3 catches for 45.4 yards per sim.

Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins, $4,400 — The Steelers spread the ball around to multiple pass-catchers, but Johnson usually gets a good chance to step up and provide value as the team’s WR2. Johnson has multiple catches in 15 of his past 16 games with 11 games of double-digit DKFP production in that stretch. He has five touchdowns in his past nine sims and brings a high ceiling against a thin Dolphins’ secondary.

Other Options — Corey Davis ($5,300), DK Metcalf ($5,200), Adam Humphries ($3,600), Jakeem Grant ($3,500)

Tight End

Stud

Greg Olsen, Seattle Seahawks at Tennessee Titans, $4,500 — There’s no arguing against the recent hot streak for Eric Ebron ($6,200), but his salary has gotten a little out of hand as a result of his success. Olsen is a much cheaper option and has been great in his past meetings with Tennesee, averaging 15.1 DKFP with at least four catches in each of their six contests. Since he’s so reliable in this specific matchup, he’s a nice play at this price.

Other Options — Eric Ebron ($6,200), Jonnu Smith ($4,600)

Value

Darren Fells, Houston Texans vs. Carolina Panthers, $3,700 — Fells is another heavily involved TE, although he hasn’t had the ceiling games Olsen has provided since his yardage and touchdown totals aren’t quite as high. He has at least four catches in four of his five games against Carolina, though, averaging 10.5 DKFP per sim against the Panthers.

DST

Stud

Seahawks DST at Tennessee Titans, $3,100 — Every time they are on the slate, the Seahawks are worth considering since their production is both extremely reliable and comes with a very high ceiling. In 104 Madden 21 sims, Seattle has forced 112 turnovers while producing 216 sacks and 18 defensive touchdowns for an average of 7.4 DKFP per sim.

Value

Texans DST vs. Carolina Panthers, $2,800 — If you need a cheaper defense, the Texans make sense as a pivot despite their issues in the secondary. What they do consistently produce is pressure on the opposing QB, which has resulted in 186 sacks in 100 sims and multiple sacks in nine of their past 10 contests.
