Here are my three suggestions — a.k.a “locks” — for the upcoming weekend

Chicago (+1.5) at Minnesota
This is a value pick, as I look at this as a 50/50 game. The two teams have split their first two matchups of the season, with Chicago winning by five and losing by two, respectively. The rubber match will certainly be close. If Chicago wins or loses by one, that’s cash.
Dallas (+0.5) at San Diego
San Diego (5-1) has a strong team, but the Growlers looked rusty against Austin last week playing for the first time since Week 4. Meanwhile, the Roughnecks (5-4) are back home with their backs against the wall. I like Dallas, in part because of their desperate circumstances, but even more because San Diego will be playing in Texas for the first time. The heat, even in the evening, can be brutal for cool California visitors.
Detroit (+6.5) at Indianapolis
Now, if you’re familiar with recent AUDL history, you may think I’m crazy, considering that the Mechanix have lost 45-straight games. No, that’s not a typo. They’ve lost 45 in a row dating back to April of 2017. So why am I picking them this week? It’s now or never for Detroit against a mediocre Indy team that will be missing several of its key veteran players. The losing streak may reach 46, but I’m counting on Detroit to at least keep it close.
